Cowbells are the most annoying noise device in the SEC. How are they allowed?

I love the tradition.
I love to listen to them on TV.

I hate them in person. It makes the trip to Starkville awful even when you win.

They should be outlawed.

If every other fan base would bring air horns to state’s stadium and blow the hell out of them all through the game then maybe something might get done about this crap! I wanted so bad to stick that bell up their azz...sideways

It's annoying and should be banned like all noise makers in the sec.

Its the only tradition their program has, coming after a hard fought win over Ole Miss.

Think about it, how sad that is, feel sorry for them.

like clockwork. Beat a big boy (or in this case lose by a touchdown) and the bitching about cowbells starts.

Yes they are annoying but it’s a State tradition so I’m cool with letting them have their cowbells. I’m sure rival fans hate it when Bama fans sing Rammer Jammer but again, it’s a tradition so DWI.

agreed, bells, drums, tubas, trumpets, tiger roars playing over loudspeakers, cannons, music, the fricking chicken cackle at SC etc have all got to go.

Its something West teams and Kentucky have to deal with every other year and the other six teams every 12 years.

Part of your schedule. DWI.

We were up 21-17 headed into the 4th. This was awesome.

Those are not allowed to be played during the play though. The cow bells are used to to increase noise making it more difficult for the offense. It would be the same as them blaring Scott Cochran over the speakers every time the visisting team was in offense. I don't have a problem with them being used as celebration but if used during the play MSU should be charged with a penalty.

No way music or Scott Cocrhan is near that loud. I literally refuse to go to a game in Starkville because of those damn things. The SEC literally says no artificial noise makers allowed. Tradition or not it shouldn't be allowed.

By far my favorite thing about the cowbells is that other fans hate them so much they refuse to go to games here.

That is 100% fine by me.

Y'all need to quit crying. I thought the cowbells were fun. They don't even use them before plays, so I don't see any advantage that would warrant them being banned.

It's kind of like when you let your autistic child get away with a few more things than your other children.
