Tulane and James Madison spots were not the committees fault. The rules automatically put them in

Computers had a rematch between LSU and VT in 2007. That would've been hilarious.

Virginia Tech .9600
LSU .9500
Ohio State .9100

UF and Michigan were tied in 2006.

Ohio State 1.000
Florida .940
Michigan .940

Why are these games on TNT? Did they cover anything all season? It is just a mess.

Yeah it’s brutal, it would be cool if the G5 had their own playoff. Like a 6 or 8 team format.

I'd swap Bama and BYU for obvious reasons, otherwise can you imagine these games? Blockbuster stuff.

It is not the committee as much as it is the rule of 5 automatic qualifiers. Which 5 conference champions would you have picked? Duke (8-5)

Everyone hollering about conference champions should get automatic bids is the problem. By the rules in place, JMU and Tulane were the correct choices. Not the most deserving, but the correct ones. The rule should’ve never been put in place. Put in the best 12.

Go back to the BCS algorithm and just take the top 12.

As football fans we just have to turn the tv off.

These playoff games are to make money. I’m checking scores on espn but no way am I going to be someone who is a considered a viewer. Let them lose money and see they need to make changes to this autobirth bullcrap.

But hurt reasons perhaps? Because Bama finished 2nd in the toughest conference in the nation and had I believe the 6th toughest schedule in the country. Better than anyone else in the playoffs. Also proved themselves last night with a double digit win. But stay butthurt.

Can't do that

Conference championships have to mean something

This is the correct answer. I watched the D2 championship today instead.

As far as I'm concerned, the only legitimate teams are Indiana, OSU, Georgia, and Tech. Maybe Oregon. Maybe. I'm not watching anything that isn't those teams playing against each other.

Well, I never wanted to get away from the BCS system at all. So I'd definitely take a return to the top four over twelve.

Its amazing that the committee doesnt see the revenue they are losing by keeping teams like Notre Dame and Texas out while putting Tulane and JMU in.....not to mention the obvious disparity in talent.

Not ND. Y'all are G5.

Texas and Vandy, perhaps.

What a complete f**k**g waste of time watching these two rent-a-wins! I certainly hope GA demolishes Ole Piss and whoever plays the green team from the NW. Both should GTFO!

I guess Miami should’ve been left out too because they lost to SMU and Louisville. Yall act like wins don’t matter. Bama had one of the 2 best wins in college football by beating UGA. 4 top 25 wins in a row. No one else in the country can stack up with Bama in the quality wins category.

Correct. Miami should have been left out too.

You lost three fricking games, dude. And yes, I do hold the SECCG against you. It was a game that was played and you lost. Three of them. Three losses, and one to FSU. You have no business having a shot at the title.
