Women sports are a drain. No need to keep doing it year after year.

No one on Earth watches it.

Well, soon there will be enough transwomen participating to raise the performance bar in women’s athletics.

I won't judge you for this, but you should think about it.

this is an SEC page and none of those sports are scholarship sports that I am aware of. Title 9 is obviously something you have no clue about.

Show me you don’t understand Title IX.

Now saying that..

I do think the SEC should tell the schools..we are going to give you 80-90M per year from the TV deal. We need more programming.
You will eat mark 10-15M to add …
Womens and Mens LAX
Men’s Soccer
And another women’s sport.

That’s just how it is!

Nah. Spectating sports is entertainment. Trying to guilt someone over not being interested in women's sports or a specific sport in general is like trying to guilt trip someone because they don't like Desperate Housewives. If it doesn't entertain you, it doesn't entertain you.

No one ever has a bleeding heart for the actors/actresses and production crew that works hard on a shitty show no one watches, so why are we obligated to take this default stance with women athletes?

SEC should add skeet shooting, archery, bass fishing, and red fishing.

Odd flex. Nobody watches college wrestling, mens lacrosse or mens soccer at the college level in the US either.

There is a reason the sports that were cut when title 9 came out were cut. They were cut because they didn't draw any interest either so wouldn't be missed. The few places where people cared about college wrestling or lacrosse still give scholarships for it. But that's not most of the country.

You obviously are oblivious to how Title IX works.

Lax is hockey on grass and is really growing in youth participation around the metro areas in the SEC footprint.

Would love to see it be a D1 sport for SEC schools.

When I lived in Annapolis, Md lacrosse kind of grew on me. If it were introduced to kids in SEC states it would become popular very quickly.

Title 9 has definitely been a detriment to the world.

I love watching softball.

I enjoy volleyball (I love that the west coast plays beach volleyball).

There are benefits to title ix that wouldnt have made it to TV without.

Women's sports existed before Title 9, and would still exist without it. Women's sports would be far better off if Title 9 hadn't forced a bunch of sports no one cares about on us, and just the entertaining ones had gained popularity naturally.

Lol

Now is the part where you tell me about all of Alabama's female scholarship athletes before 1973.

Now is the part where you tell me about all of the win/loss records for Alabama female sports before 1973.

There were women athletes before 1973. But there really wasn't collegiate women's sports before 1973. Nice try, though.
