2010 PapaJohns bowl in Birmingham. Cold as shite. Got dominated by UCONN. Bowl sponsored by a pizza company ran out of pizza at halftime. Total catastrophe.

49ers - Vikings December 1977 at old Met Stadium. Zero air temperature with 10 inches of snow.

We had end zone seat but moved up and over to the 40 yard line. Tarkenton was injured with a broken tibia and Bob Berry was starting. He sucked so Tommy Kramer came off the bench to throw 3TD in the 4th quarter to overcome a 24-7 deficit and win 28-27. And Two Minute Tommy was born. VIDEO of game.

The final TD looked like the Red Sea parting as Sammy White split the D.

Went to a Steelers vs. Browns playoff game in Pittsburgh in the mid 90’s. Was single digits with snow and ice.

Brutally cold and honestly not much fun.

My great grandma (no pics) took me to the Duke and Sewanne game in Tampa back in 1962. It was 12 below zero.

In Tampa? Coldest temperature ever recorded in Tampa was 18 degrees. It was in 1962 though.

Wisconsin at Minnesota, 2013? I think? Both teams were 8–2 and was a pretty good game. Impressed with the crowd and atmosphere.

0 degrees out. Kept going for more and more hot chocolate, only it was cold by the time I’d get back to my seat. Knew damn well why the Big Ten wasn’t going to be able to recruit the Deep South after that game.

The original SECCG in 1992 at Legion Field against Florida. Temp was 40 but there was a 20 mph wind out of the north and I was in the south end zone getting it in the face the entire game. The only time I was warm was when Langham made the pick six that won the game.

The 1st SEC championship game at legion field.
I was there too, and it was bone-chilling cold! It's hard to believe it got so loud in that old Legion Field but I can remember how the upper deck shook.

I was also at the 2000 Iron Bowl, which was a thoroughly miserable experience to cap off a dumpster fire of a season.

But the coldest game I can recall was the 1989 Division II national championship game between Mississippi College and Jacksonville State, which MC won 3-0 after scraping the ice off the grass for a field goal. Me, my dad, and about six thousand others froze our butts off and scalded our tongues on boiling hot watery cocoa.

December 31, 1993 Gator Bowl. Night game in Jax, 37 degrees, Bama beat UNC. Wife hated me for taking her to the game because it was cold as hell.

That was the last game ever in the old Gator Bowl as they started tearing it down the next day for the new Jags stadium. The parking lot was jammed up that night with heavy equipment, cranes, all kinds of big shite.

2009 liberty bowl.
Friend of mine played in the 68 Liberty Bowl (Ole Miss v. Virginia Tech Or VMI maybe at the time) he said it was the coldest he has ever been.

For me, it was probably an Ole Miss v LSU game back in the late 80s. Went with two Ole Miss fans (one met us from Houston as that's where he lives/lived. It was strange weather at Halloween. We were in the South endzone and were in something of a wind tunnel. Temp dropped precipitously and a north wind had to have been 25+. I think was at the end of the Brewer era and LSU coach was probably on his way out so neither team was special but LSU was a little bit more special than Ole Miss. It was a half empty stadium and nothing like a full stadium noise crowd. Disappointing to miss that.
