This! It was cold and rainy. We had flasks of Southern Comfort for medicinal purposes.

ULM vs. Ohio in the Independence Bowl. I think it was 2012 and a cold front moved in about an hour before the game started. I have no idea what the temp was, but it was cold and wet.

UGA vs GA Tech... maybe early 2000s. Can't remember. Mid 30s but it was raining and I was unprepared.

2000 Music City Bowl. It was already below freezing at kick off and continued down to the mid 20’s during the game. The titans stadium was brand new and both endzones were so low that the wind off of the river made it at least down to 15 degree feel like temperature. We were on the 2nd deck so the 3rd deck overhang was funneling the wind even more. Only good thing about that game is when Eli became a future star. Being down 49-16 in the 4th quarter he came in as a redshirt freshman and scored 22 unanswered to make the final a much more respectable 49-38.

Texas A&M at Oklahoma, 1997. Temperature was in the low 20s, but it was a good thing for me. I had broken the little toe on my right foot two days prior, and it was hurting when I tried to walk or stand, but once we got into the stands and out in the cold, my foot froze and the pain went away. Ags won 50-7, which also helped.

1964 ... in South Bend, Notre Dame vs Penn State, or maybe it was Pittsburgh. For some reason I can't remember which one at the moment.

1994 ... I think it was '94. It was Danny Wuerffel's senior season and Spurrier brought the #1 Gators into Williams-Brice and ran up the score on us at night. I think the wind chill hit 8° or 9° that night.

Ugh, I had forgotten about that disaster and I was there. Cold, icy and a garbage game against VT.

It would have been Pitt. Pitt and Notre Dame had a long standing series of games. Not sure I’d call it a rivalry though. Penn State didn’t play Notre Dame for a long stretch between the late 20’s and late 70’s.

Was there too. Missed Eddie Money to stand in the bathroom at halftime to try to warm up.

Tuscaloosa County High vs. Central; Thanksgiving weekend 1993 at Bryant Denny. Game time temps in the 20s. Get all warmed up and sweaty, freeze on the sidelines, go get sweaty again; freeze again. I won’t voluntarily go watch football in the cold.
