The guy they ran off that ended up at Syracuse?

lol, they were playing a 4th string true freshmen qb who had literally never thrown a pass
Kienholz was the #3 guy and played because Walker Jr knocked Brown out of the game in the first half. Quit making shite up.

I’ll never understand the Mizzou hate on this forum, they’re probably the best posters here.
But I agree their fans are pretty cool and I’ve heard Columbia is a good town to visit.

Bobby Bowden. Ironically, he raised the program's profile from nothing by playing anyone, anytime, anywhere.
But when they became relevant nationally he ducked the SEC for the ACC which absolutely sucked at football. That's the real reason for the streak of finishing in the top 5.

What unmitigated BS. Check records vs. Mizzou, South Carolina, LSU, Mississippi schools. I won't mention Kentucky and Vandy cause they usually are creampuffs. Or Alabama, Georgia and Florida cause we usually are their creampuff, but at least we've played them every year.

That’s nice, I’m sure he’s faced some tough teams on the field
When it’s dinner time though? I envy that man

I don’t like to say nice things about them, but everyone I know from Columbia is good people. And they were in Little Dixie.

No one who is a Mississippi State fan can say a word about a town.
Starkville says it all.

I mean yes, we always beat the Vols, but it seems harsh to call them weak

You do have a 7 game lead in the series. Tennessee led the series by 5 games until they hired a Dooley...coincidence?

Yes clearly Kiffen, Jones and Pruitt had nothing to do with the joke the Vols became.. When you have bad coach after bad coach maybe it ain't the coach. Heck Pruitt was paying dudes and yet...
44-41
9 in a row
1998
The Vols just aren't very good

I oddly thought this was going to be about Mark Stoops
I thought the same thing, because beating SC and Missouri every year for a while is what made him. Then he stopped doing it and was essentially shown the door.

Going 6-7 against USC made him??? That’s a curious take.

Dooley was the start of it. Kiffin beat Georgia by over 25 points. Hiring Dooley was the beginning of the end.

Tennessee had a 9 game winning streak over Georgia...it started in Ray Goff's first year. Goff and Donnan were 1-9 vs Tennessee. They were the equivalent of Tennessee's Dooley, Jones and Pruitt trifecta (who were 2-9 vs Georgia).
