It is the level of success and improvement. Those coaches made slow improvements, even with all the potential.

Based on you alls standards, AUs coaches have made improvements since Dye:

Bowden: Undefeated season, SECW Championship
TT: Undefeated Season , 2 SECWC, 1 SECC
Chizik: Undefeated season, 1SECWC, 1SECC, 1 NC
Gus: 2SECWC, 1SECC, 1 BCS appearance.

So the improvements are subjective.

I'm not sold on UGA and especially not Bama.

Kent State exposed the impact of UGA's defensive player losses from last year.

As for Bama, go back and rewatch the Texas game. That didn't look like a fluke performance to me. Texas dominated both lines of scrimmages all game long and got to Bryce Young often making him look mediocre most of the game.

If/when Tennessee gets past LSU.on the road, our team's confidence will be through the roof and i think we have what ot takes to beat Bama in a shootout this year.

UGA is still kind of a mystery to me, so i will without judgement. Their TE bowers is a nightmare matchup for anyone though.

UTs success will ride on the back of your QB. UGA and Bama are both able of taking him out of his game. I see that happening in both games. Could be wrong.

He isn't making excuses for UGA's performance. Said last week we're not as good as people are saying and that it's absurd to say at this point that the team is better than last year's or the defense is as good as last year's.

Also said Kent State's QB would start for most of the bad SEC teams, including Auburn.

Nobody really knows right now. I agree it is premature but up until last week UGA looked unbeatable.

Drinkwitz saved Harsin because he owed him for giving him a job during their time at Arkansas State.

Milton offers a different dynamic at QB if Hooker has to miss a few plays due to a cheap shot.

We were fine last weekend, over 500 yards of offense and never punted. We had two special teams breakdowns, a fumble and an int. That wasnt on the defense.

He also chose Jasper Sanks over Jamal Lewis. Lewis ran for more yards in one NFL season than Sanks did his entire time at Ga. And they put him on TV?

Bama always had LSU or AU to compete with and one year Ole Miss, MSU and AU were all in the CFP top 4. UGA rarely played Bama during their best run in their history.

So much tard.

Auburn is rarely good, and 2014 wasn’t one of the good ones. MSU and OM weren’t above average in that season either. Don’t let a mid season overrank fool you.

Oh, and uga has played bama 5x in the past 5 seasons.

Uga was 12th best winning % in the nation from 97-00.

I've asked this question of everyone posting this, but yet to get an answer.

What is your thought process as to why the Kent State game showed impact from losses while the Oregon and South Carolina games (two much more talented teams) did not?

The reason on the other side is pretty easy to understand. People are saying UGA was unmotivated/didn't show up to play against Kent State so had a bad performance. But you seem to be indicating you think the performance against Kent State is "real" but the ones against P5 teams were somehow misleading. What's the logic behind that thought?
