No one is saying players shouldn’t get paid, and there have always been VIP opps for rich boosters.

But it would be so easy for the school to include a free meet the fans experience in the rev share contracts. That’s how you build the fan base of the future; the kids that show up to free events today are the boosters in 30 years and it’s weird that LSU is trying to squeeze out pennies now instead of thinking long term.

This is why we know that you're stupid.

LSU Athletics intends to hold their traditional Fan Day. Why are you fretting about LSU building their future (30 yr) fan base?

Lot of spinning being done... Its on campus, the event is called Meet the Tigers.

Yet you shared events of autograph sessions at local business as if they were the same.

"Don't miss your opportunity to meet the 2026 Tigers"

What you posted and what this is, is no where the same.

I don't recall LSU having a traditional fan day, seems like most of those interactions either take place at the spring game or fall camp.

There have been fan days here and there but I don't remember it ever being consistent.

Feel free to correct me, anyone.

You seem to have a massive hang up with it being on on campus vs off campus.

My point was that they're both exclusive collective hosted autograph sessions.

This country had lost the plot. Turning every single possible thing into a product to squeeze out more cash is disgusting.

The Pigs are putting corporate logos on their jerseys so that's not far away from the rest of our schools.

Probably won't be that long until schools start changing their team names to shite like the Sanderson Farms Bulldogs.

I can't wait for Coach and player post-game comments to resemble NASCAR, as they spend the first 10-15 secs thanking a half dozen+ sponsors before making an actual comment on the game.

Just my opinion, but I think for this specific event, the charge has more to do with limited space vs trying to make a lot of money.

3,000 people @ $30 per, is less than $90k, that won't even buy one player.

Regardless, you will see more and more things like this as CFB becomes further commercialized. We'll probably all be owned by PE by the time it's over.

My grandad when he was a boy got to meet Johnny Majors. That meeting helped create generations of UT fans in his family. The SEC is nothing without fans.

Well, all the young folks of college football thought the players should be paid and they were being treated like slaves. So, here's what it looks like to pay the players. What's the problem?

Still wasn't sick kids.

Also wasn't the university, just like it wasn't LSU who stole from the sick kids - they just benefited from it.
