We lost a great one. There are certain folks on here that make this place special and she was one of them. We've lost some amazing people from this board and the world is sadder place without them.

There was just a tragic story of someone passing in Mandeville from a similar issue. She ended up having 2 limbs amputated and ended up eventually dying. I heard a rumor from someone that it was from the Swine Flu.

My wife’s mother had a ruptured colon that leaked and feces got into her abdomen area. She does of sepsis.

An infection that for some reason, gets out of control. I almost lost my wife in August due to an UTI that turned into sepsis. To this day, she remembers nothing about what happened. She was fortunate. Not all sepsis patients are.

My best friend passed away in 2004. Heart attack. To this day, when I go home, I’ll get a pint of Hennessy and drink a shot for me, pour him one on his grave, and toast our other friends and family who have passed on.
I’ll do the same for Carolina Girl, now that I know where she’s from. It won’t be a pint tho! We still have mini bottles in South Carolina.
