Does it really matter if you actually met someone? I have a person that I consider a friend who lives in the Philippines. The chance of us ever meeting up depends on one of us winning the lottery! Our wives would probably be BFFs talking about putting up with us during football season.

Speaking as someone who works in EMS, I’ve mostly seen it morph from a UTI. Gets in the blood and then it’s carried all over the body. Then organs start to fail. It’s a bad way to go.

As others have said an untreated infection, my Dad had a small heart attack that he either ignored or did not realize he was having and it poisoned his system due to sepsis. He spent two weeks in cardiac ICU in a medically induced coma on life support and passed away on Labor Day of 96.
