Doubtful someone can give you that type of history lesson in one thread. Especially since you don't appear to be open to learning.

Without French and Spanish support and assistance in the American Revolution things might have turned out very differently.

Very true. The Spanish controlling Florida and the Gulf Coast was huge for the Revolutionists. Allowing the Spanish and French financing to bring in supplies up thru that area, and also prevented the British from coming in from a different angle. Both nations were critical for "non boots on the ground" support/success.

Heck it's even said Washington got the phrase "United States of America" from a Spanish Louisiana Governor who wrote him a letter referencing the Colonies as "Estados Unidos"

Yeah bc a bunch of trailer dwellers screaming PUSSIES are historians

Didn’t come here for a lesson - was almost a joke thread laughing at Bama fans bizarre obsession with using French heritage as an insults. The dozens of solely Bama fans doing just that made the thread worth it

During the Revolution, America begged France for help. John Adams and Benjamin Franklin sailed there and requested assistance for over a year. The French aristocracy just made fun of the American hicks. However, when it looked like America might actually defeat the British, and the British were France’s mortal enemy, France sent some of their navy to America. They told America they had three months and then they were heading home because of winter weather. The French provided a naval blockade during this time. They participated in one battle, providing naval cannon fire during one battle, an American victory.

Holy shite, not only do you not know European history, you don't even know American history.

Hasn't France lost every war it has fought except for one? And that one was a tie.

And France’s current losing streak: Franco Prussian war, WW1, WW2, Dien Bien Phu, Algerian War.
During Desert Storm, the French "Armored" Brigade never took their tanks off of the low boys.

France has won more military battles than any other country in the world.

Our goal is to retire in France… preferably in the South. Love the food, culture, art, architecture, etc.

Q: Did you hear about the new French tank?

A: Eight gears, all of them reverse.

Oh and let's see about the French in Afghanistan.

When they had FOB Wharehouse in Kabul, they wouldn't let Americans eat at their chow hall for a while.

They were supposed to turn a camp in Surobi District over to a battalion from the 82d, and literally just locked it up and left. No handover what so ever.

They had a SOF team rotating at Camp Morehead in 2011 that just quit with no backfill. Even the Canadians kept a SOF team there after the Canadians pulled all conventional troops out. We ended up putting the POW/MIA flag up on the flag pole that had the tricolor surrender flag previously.

Even in this thread, the French are having others do their fighting for them.

Q: Why are the streets of Paris lined with trees?

A: So the Germans can march in the shade.

It’s amazing. When I look up these things Alabama fans say, this is the kind of information I find.

Am I led to believe the Alabama fans of SECrant.com have a better grasp of history than the rest of the literal internet?

So let me get this straight. You make fun of France for the influx of Muslims, but then turn around and boast your heritage goes back to England?

As if London isn’t nearly the Aloha Snackbar capital of the west.
