Thanks to the federal government that keeps bailing it out.

Wrong. California gives back to the federal government far more than it receives. It’s one of the few states that does this

I don't think you understand how the process works.

First, Tua had to make the team, get his shot in the big game, win the championship, THEN his likeness was worth something.

Who the frick would pay for Tua's autograph right out of high school? Maybe you??? Who would pay for it if he hadn't had the opportunity to showcase himself on the big stage?

If you're not playing NCAA football, then you're not playing on TV.

How in the ever loving frick would anyone know who the hell you are, and why in God's name would anyone even pay you twenty-five cents for your autograph?

All the Ncaa has to do is ban schools from post season play that pay their players.

Yes, but all California schools have to do is leave the NCAA.

How long before EVERYBODY decides to do the same.

This is the end of the NCAA. It's only a matter of when, not if.

True

You seem to have forgotten who owns and funds the schools.

The NCAA will be in a bind as Cali is the largest TV market, lots of twist and turns left in this one.

Let them. They will just be playing themselves in every sport.

People were saying the NCAA wouldn't last much longer in the '70's.

Until the NCAA fricks somebody else (Missouri/Miss State) to the point where they bail. SMU should be the first to join the Cali Schools.

Where will the really good players go to college?

The same place they go now........the SEC. Who is going to go where your games won't be televised? Most kids dream of playing in the NFL.
