I was really hoping he was going to be a step backwards... but he might end up being the best QB Bama’s had yet

He made a good throw on the touchdown. Hopefully he keeps our stretch of really good QBs going.

He just needs more reps.

He moves really well in the pocket. The move he made in his first big play wasn’t even fair

Do you think they move him around more due to his height? And athletic ability.

It’s annoying how Alabama never has a rebuilding season

He's got all the talent he needs. He just needs reps to familiarize himself with the concepts and receivers. We'll likely be a little more conservative in his first season, but our line (when it's finally healthy) will be really good (basing this on talent and growing together as season progresses) and so will our backs. Defense will be vastly improved over last year as well.

In 2018 I dreaded the 2020 season thinking the offense would be miserable with the loss of Tua, Jeudy, and Ruggs.

I would like to see the ball out a bit quicker. Maybe the process speed of Tua and Mac has spoiled... but Young seems to want a little more visual assurance before releasing .. then delivers a fast ball most of the time. Faster process, softer delivery... but what do I know?

Same here. I thought 2020 would be the start of the downturn with the loss of Tua and the others. We only went undefeated and signed the highest rated class in 247 history.

Nothing is more demoralizing than containing a qb and watching him scramble in a critical situation to move the chains. Young always has that in his back pocket.

his passing game is much better than Hurts in his 2nd year. I suppose you remember Hurts best by the fact he beat LSU every year he was at Alabama
