Well In his defense I think he was ahead of the game and instead of sticking with what worked, he actually went backwards.

I know the line play went way down for sure, but at least a more mobile QB can alleviate some of that with option plays out of shotgun. Seems like Gus thought he could imitate what Bama was doing, but our receivers could produce and block on the edges.

You win a title with Cam, which probably 35% of the country could have done with how good he was.
You get to another title game with Nick Marshal...
What’s the reoccurring theme? A run first/super athletic QB and a read option system.
Why not continue that system? You always have a good RB at Auburn and generally a good run blocking OL... why the hell do you try to go to a pro style system with no WR production and QBs with mediocre accuracy?

Can’t wait to see this season. We have an offense with a lot of new weapons, and a defense that should finally be Elite for the first time in a while. When I say Elite i mean top 5 in the country.
