Well yeah, poisoning some trees isn’t equal to stealing from a local Baton Rouge hospital because you’re an LSU fan.

Yeah, that's why Funes's punishment was worse than Updyke's

Yet Alabama fans get grouped with Updyke just like LSU fans get grouped with this guy

They get grouped in with his rabidness as a fan. Nobody actually think anyone but him poisoned trees though

quote:

Only difference is this guy had power and it makes LSU look involved, right or wrong.

I think it's the complete opposite. None of us have the power to embezzle thousands of dollars from a hospital's foundation fund like this guy did

You know LSU officials put him in jail, right?

You’re not gonna find me defending this. Truly a puzzling, head scratching move and to be blunt…retarded.

He’s hot seat material for me this coming year if he loses 3+ games again and gets housed in those losses

Idk what the frick Byrne is doing here

I was a big BK supporter, but I absolutely did not want to see a needless extension without a natty, we all should have learned from A&M on that front.

Why give the dude a huge, guaranteed contract if you're just going to extend it? You're practically asking to pay a large buyout, at that point.

I think part of BK's issue was that his best year was his first year when the roster was in shambles. Things didn't get better (as you would expect them to after he built the roster back up).

I don't think BK ever caught up to the portal/NIL concept. He was a good coach prior, but he was in over his head in that context.

That's where I have hope for Lane because otherwise, they don't look THAT much different on paper.

Yup and everyone around here remembers how much you sucked him off. No one takes you seriously. You are a joke

Oh no, VFL67 doesn't take me seriously. Should I fire up some receipts of some of your horrific takes?

We fired our 4 loss coach, you extended yours. Congratulations.

Because he works his arse off and the trajectory with NIL and the portal for Alabama look good. Recruiting was #2 this cycle. Kept our 5-star QB.

BK was a lazy, disconnected a-hole with a fake Cajun accent who lost twice to DeBoer by a combined score of 62-22.

We certainly didn't give him a massive extension, that's for sure.

You didn't have to. LSU gave him a TEN YEAR DEAL (YIKES) initially.

Even with this extension, Alabama isn't on the hook for 10 years.

He's been there two years, just got 7 added. That gives him a 9 year committment.

10 years, $95mil vs 9 years, $108.5mil

Should make you think the very obvious, the LSU fanbase is delusional. Alabama is one of the most successful Football programs ever...You will think you're not delusional of course, but I do not expect you too if you think this post proves anything else.....

Could you imagine giving an extension to a coach that just made the conference title game and second round of the playoffs? THE HORROR! LSU fans are so desperate these days.

Nick Saban also lost a combined eight games in his first two seasons at Alabama.

Nick Saban's first two seasons: 19-8 (.703)
Kalen DeBoer's first two seasons: 20-8 (.714)

Both coaches got their team to the SEC Championship Game in year two.

I thought that maybe DeBoer coached several more games and that might have skewed the numbers. But...it turns out, that wasn't the case:

Brian Kelly's record for the first 2 years at LSU was 20-7 and 12-4 in conference.

DeBoer's record for his first 2 years at Bama was 20-8 and 12-4 in conference.

Lol. Now compare the state of the programs they inherited

No way I'd give an extension to a guy that did that, got blown out in both, and still had tons of money guaranteed to him.

As Bammer fans like to remind us, those early 2000's Bama teams were terrible and coming off of sanctions.

2023 Alabama was one play from the natty.

Both made the SECCG and were blown out by Georgia.

Bama made the 12 team playoff as #9.

The 12 team playoff didn't exist in Kelly's first two seasons, LSU likely doesn't make it anyway as they were #13.

So Kelly inherited a sub .500 team and was at #13 in the final CFP ranking in his second year.

DeBoer inherited a team that was one play from the natty and was at #9 in the final CFP ranking in his second year.

Kelly definitely didn't get a raise.
