Hey, not my fault LSU fans saw Kelly never win a playoff game and thought “he’s the guy.”
At least DeBoer has shown with the right QB, he can make a national title game. I trust Russell and DeBoer more than Kiffin and a guy who couldn’t beat Miss State last year.

DeBoer actually won a playoff game to make it to the NCG. Won his conference at Washington as well by beating Oregon twice. Comparing him to Kelly is lazy.
Sure DeBoer hasn’t been out of this world but he’s shown more progress than Kelly. He’s definitely a better coach.

The facts of the matter bear out that BK took over a sub .500 team and went 20-7.
DeBoer took over a team that was one play from the natty and proceeded to go 20-8 over his first two seasons. Lucky for him, there was a 12 team playoff so Bama fans could get a moral victory.

I think part of BK's issue was that his best year was his first year when the roster was in shambles. Things didn't get better (as you would expect them to after he built the roster back up).

It'll never not crack me up how people just blow off any context about the playoff being extended to 12 teams the last 2 seasons.
