-Jay Bilas

Outside of Bama homers, this is the worst take I’ve seen on the situation.

Does Brandon Miller have the right to not be questioned about what happened that night? No, he does not have that right.

I guess according to Bilas, before deciding whether Miller can remain with the University, Alabama can’t ask him “Did you read that text message before delivering the gun?” No, that would be too insensitive to this young man’s “rights.”

In the event Bama already has the answer to that question, and it’s either “yeah I read it” or “I plead the 5th,” Bama must keep that a secret and can’t exercise any disciplinary action against Brandon? I guess letting the public know or simply taking disciplinary action for a general failure to meet team’s standards would just really be super insensitive to Miller’s rights.

Did Jay Bilas sleep his way through law school, was he just in the mood for a hot take, or is he the guy ESPN fed these lines to because ESPN is deep in bed with the SEC and thought they needed someone somewhere with credibility not lambasting the SEC’s top hoops team and the SEC’s arguably top program?

Hey Jay, what about the rights of an innocent woman to not be shot dead in her car because a thug had a gun on speed dial?

And to think Bama fans ate that ridiculous shite up like it was gospel from Jesus Christ himself.

Jay Bilas is an actual lawyer.

I’ll be sure to let him know internet user Jon Ham from the SECRant dot com thinks it’s a bad take.

It is a bad take because nothing has happened to Miller to infringe on his rights. Bilas is talking out his arse

You forfeit those rights when you're an accessory to murder.

That’s because the University of Alabama hasn’t caved to media and message board virtue signaling outrage.

Actual lawyers lie and pull shite out of their arse more than anymore.

What “rights” was he even talking about and what law or legal precedent are they based on? I’ll wait as long as it takes for anyone to answer that.

You're right. I wish more lawyers would be honest and caring, like internet homosexual Jon Ham.

If Miller had made a homosexual or transsexual slur, well within his free speech rights, ESPN/Disney would have handed Bilas an entirely different script to read.

But this is just a dead black woman.

incorrect

Brandon Miller, likely accessory to murder, still has rights

What’s his answer to: “Did you read the text before delivering the gun?”

If it was a “good” answer, it’s almost certain his attorney and Alabama would be shouting it from the rooftop.

Bilas wanted the fbi coaches punished initially until the Zion news came out and than changed his tune to protect coach k

Remember when rece slammed lsu and his strong arse offer comments anytime wade was mentioned yet changes his tune now that bama is under scrutiny and bama s Avery Johnson was part of the same scandal but the asst took the fall

I haven’t listened the Bilas soliloquy, but the OP quote is inaccurate.

Brandon Miller has rights. Bama does not have a duty to protect his rights, only to not violate them. Playing basketball or attending the University are not rights. If those are the implications from Bilas, then he is wrong.
