C. Depends on what the previous coach left. Mark Richt did not leave the roster bare. How many Sr players did Kirby have to work with this year ?
Ummm, you realize you're helping to prove my point, right? This was Kirby's second season...
Next year is Mullen and Pruitt's first season...

Interesting.
Shocking his year 2 was better than his year 1 at SC and UF. Seems to be the case for many coaches.
Now tell us how Chubb ran the ball for 70% of our plays in year 2 for Kirby and how UGA is replacing 18 starters.

Easy - the lines of scrimmage. We return 4 out of 5 starters on the OL and frankly our OL room is more talented than it has been in at least 2 decades.
We return 8 out of 10 on the DL. As strange as it sounds John Atkins is our biggest loss on the DL. He started all year. Trent Thompson started 3 games.
We beat people with the line of scrimmage last year. Remember every week hearing the refrain of "we'll just stop their running game and make Fromm beat us?" Same on defense, it was tough to run against us.
Those trends will continue. The old mantra of football being won and lost in the trenches is true, and that's why UGA walks through the East fairly easily again this year.
Great point. Many inside the program feel the DL will be better overall this year. Rochester may be an improvement over Atkins. He's more athletic and is in much better shape right now than last year. Also, though TT was supposed to be our best going into the season, it's pretty obvious that Tyler Clark was actually better.
The strength of the Oline was a hard sermon to preach and get a conversion out of our rivals. There were several of our main rivals telling OU fans on their boards that our Offensive tackles were suspect. A few days later Wynn was first team all SEC and Thomas was all on the all SEC freshman team. It'll be interesting to see if Thomas' transition from right to left goes as smoothly as Pittman is saying it will. And also interesting to see if Salyer is all he's made out to be coming out of high school. But I would've killed to have our second string Oline as starters many of the Richt years.

I guarantee they won't. oh, uga will take the east but that's no accomplishment. but you playing in Atlanta this year is because you play in a weak arse division.

LSU barely beat an awful UF team last year and didnt look all that good vs a horrendous Vol team.

So which one of the 6 dwarves is your team?

I wouldn't guarantee someone will be in the playoff and I wouldn't guarantee UGA wouldn't be in it.
These are the teams going in that have a shot, but obviously no one is a guarantee. One injury or off week can cost you dearly in that regard:
Alabama, UGA, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Clemson, USC, Notre Dame,
Teams that aren't looking like they have great odds now but may be this season's 2017 UGA : Texas, Wisconsin, Auburn, Penn State, Washington

You Georgia fans are hilarious. You reek of new money. If you had the schedule of LSU, AU, or TAMU, you’d be guaranteed 3 losses. Hell, if you were in the West you’d be guaranteed 3 losses.
Another POS Aubbie who can't handle our domination in the last 10 years. What's next? Another post about moving to the SECE?

3 or 4 wins for the VOLS. Certainly no one should be disappointed unless we lose to an ETSU type team.

Biggest surprise - UGa wins the off season championship without choking in the last 5 minutes. First natty since 1980 in football, although it is the off season.
Biggest disappointment - UGa actually has to play their games next year and payback is a BIIIITTTCCCHHHH! 8-4 makes fans wonder if Kirby in actually "Little Nicky" after all.

Ordinarily, I would agree with you and I do think Moorhead & Co. will have some struggles like any first year coaches will have.
In this case, he has the luxury of a veteran team that will hopefully minimize some of those mistakes. I still have tempered expectations but am cautiously optimistic.
The players showed me a lot in the Gator Bowl by winning that game against Louie Ville basically on their own. I know the remaining coaches did their best but no way do we win that game without players taking on the responsibility and playing together.
That should bold well for this year but even with that we will have some growing pains as any first year coach will have.
Surprise team: Kentucky
Disappointments: A&M, Florida, Arkansas, Tennessee (these rabid fan bases will all be disappointed with their new coaches as they have unrealistic expectations)

Hilarious since you'd give your left nut to have the season we had last year especially since you've embarrassed yourselves the last 3 trips you've made to
Atlanta.

Based on what exactly?

And yet we played for a National Championship beating better teams than all you mentioned last year. Your logic lacks something. Oh, yeah. Logic.

Disappointment: MSU/LSU: MSU mostly because they're going to have to lean too heavily on a returning Fitzgerald, as they lose most of their offensive creativity that was the genesis of Mullen as the QB whisperer.
dumbest shite I've seen in a while
