Man. We're all shaking with fear.

You should've sent C@D letters to the ingrate 8 for being parasites.

Have fun with your AAC merger. Although a few schools might find a parachute.

Can’t blame them, ESPN is basically using the horns as a pawn in a game that will cost people hundreds of millions of dollars

Any different than corporate espionage?

Can confirm report by @PeteThamel regarding a letter sent to ESPN by the Big 12. Am told this doesn't have anything to do with derailing Texas/OU vote tomorrow by the SEC. Told it's about ESPN ceasing and desisting their actions regarding all Big 12 members.

Sounds like they have been in contact with other Big 12(-) schools.

ESPN has contracts with the SEC, the Big 12, and also Texas, two of which they are squeezing dry in order to get the best possible value out of the third. Im frankly surprised this hadn't already escalated to the point where they were getting sued, much less a cease and desist.

I don't think this cease and desist is going to be acknowledged by ESPN. The Big-12 can't tell ostensibly news media from speculating on current events. They're just big mad because they know that ESPN essentially was the handler for this move to the SEC to give every party legal protection and there is not a damn thing they can really do about it.

This is such a bitch move by the Big 12. This is not going to matter, but I would rather Texas quit athletics until 2025 than to be held hostage by these pussies.

Odd.
I don’t recall the horns denouncing Ken Starr’s offensive against Texas A&M University a decade ago.

I mean, it’s ESPN.

Jerking programs around is a feature, not a bug.

Good. ESPN is WAY too involved with all of this. They're changing the college football landscape into what they want it to be. The mouse needs to stay far away.

Texas and OU are still technically Big 12 members. This means they want ESPN to stop speaking to them.

It’s a last ditch effort and confirms this is a done deal. The Big 12 is getting all their ammunition ready for lawsuits.
