frick Tech but they are not doing any more inherently evil than what Will Wade, Nate Oats, Pete Golding, and others tried. Hell even the Vandy coach tried to skirt eligibility rules. Begging partisan judges to do your unethical work in broad daylight is what gets me.

Says the team that left before we did. You abandoned the conference. I'd say you played your role as well.

Not to dispute the problems the incredibly arrogant Deloss Dodds created for everyone. Then again I hated the fricker as much as you did.

It's this sort of behavior that destroyed the SWC and set in motion most of the modern realignment era. I think this may be the end of the line for the toothless NCAA. I look for the B1G and SEC to breakaway and establish their own order. Didn't think it would come to this, but hot damn, here we are.

SWC died because its media footprint was Texas and Arkansas. So it couldn't command the same TV money as other conferences. Texas, Texas A&M, and Arkansas weren't going to fall behind just to ensure a few shitty private schools had a conference to play in.

No, Texas and OU leaving destroyed the Little 12

Stupid revisionist history as always...

Step 1 - Mizzou flirts with B1G gets interest
Step 2 - Nebraska hates Texas and sees B1G and flirts too gets B1G invite instead
Step 3 - Texas A&M hates Texas sees Mizzou also wants to leave and opine for SEC get invite

Texas got fricked by DeLOSS because he was so enamored with that shitbox LHN that we signed on to the BDF grant of rights so he could keep it. We just poured agonizing life into that asinine conference it was already dead.

And it was your boneheaded school who threw a hissy fit and said they would not play OU football in bedlam any longer. That cost your school mega dollars. But at least you got your “revenge”.

People that can’t separate a player that gambled on his own team from these other issues just can’t be helped. Eligibility and payment issues are not close to the same thing. Professional athletes have gone to prison for this.

The Big 12 bylaws say that every member institution must adhere to NCAA rules. So even if the NCAA can’t enforce the rules, they did say he broke the rules.

This should mean that Texas Tech is required to sit him in order to follow Big 12 rules.

??? I’m not a lawyer.. so someone tell me why?

I loved the original big 12 but let’s be honest. It was doomed from day one because texas, texas a&m, oklahoma, and nebraska wanted a bigger piece of the pie.
Greed killed the big 12 and we were leading the charge. frick deloss

He has no ties to Tech at all. The Tech affiliated judge recused himself It’s great to be able to post and not know a thing about what you are posting about.

You are right but cody seems to run that conference now. They will do what he tells them to do.
