And Tech’s. Keep buying that gas everywhere

He played in the NFL also.
LOL! Sure genius. Cheating to get great players doesn’t affect the integrity of the game.
Joe Mixon says hello. Rhett Bomar too.
Like paying players under the table in the past?

Actually Tech does have the money. That’s what scares everyone now.
Money can always get you more. Why did LSU sign 4 QBs? Football is a rough game and injuries are part of it. Gotta be prepared.
Keep buying gas to support Tech athletics.
Yep 2 of them. Rumors they may also get the UCLA kid who may enter the track transfer portal.
ut has a different form of TDS. This one is Tech Derangement Syndrome. It shows that ut is scared of us.
I heard it was “mutual”. So now are you guys going to take back all of the crap you posted? Didn’t think so. He never played a down for Tech. Sued the NCAA on his own. Let’s see if the NCAA goes after Cincy since they knew last August that he gambled and still played him. So now were are back to all the cheating that the SEC schools have done in the past with no NCAA penalty. But that didn’t effect the integrity of the game right?!
Still making stuff up. You have absolutely no idea what happened. Just posting stuff and looking foolish. But I’m sure you think you’re really smart and knowledgeable. Give the the source where you got this information. I won’t hold my breath.
Now you’re just making up stuff. Lot of this going around.
You do know that when he bet on his own team when at Indiana he was not playing and thus could not in any way effect the outcome of the bet. Don’t think that he could throw the game to win. He could have no effect on the bet.
Pete Rose bet on his team to win when he was actively managing. Should he have bet, no absolutely not, but he did not bet on his team to lose.
The kid had a terrible addiction. Almost 3000 bets on many obscure sports. With my training I understand drug addiction. This one is new to me. But no normal thinking person bets like he did.
Coach McGuire says that Sorsby feels like a huge weight is off his shoulders. This is like alcohol addiction in that is one day at a time. Tech has provided him with unbelievable help in every part of his life. I don’t think he could buy a pack of gum without approval now. He has given all control over his life and finances over to advisers as required by Tech. McGuire was just asked yesterday if Sorsby would be playing in the 3rd game when he is eligible by court order. He said he is in recovery and no one knows if or when he will play. They will support him and help him because he became one of ours. If he does play I have zero doubt about him betting. His whole future is based on his recovery and if he plays, playing very well so he has a chance to get drafted. He has 6 million dollars. He doesn’t need money. BTW, he bet $90,000 over almost 3000 bets. You figure out the amount per bet. It was ridiculously small amounts. It probably wasn’t the money, it was the thrill of the bet.
I applaud Tech for helping him. He may need the carrot before him to help him recover. You can’t say that his previous 2 schools cared one bit about the person only his performance.
Also, Tech didn’t fund the lawsuit. Tech had ruled him ineligible. His lawyers submitted briefs on the case and the word is the NCAA did not contest any of the statements. Not one. The brief stated a 2 game suspension and the judge accepted the lawyers brief because the NCAA did not contest its statements. Easy for the judge to rule.
Bottom line is the kid ( I use that word intentionally) needed help and now he is getting it. We will see if he ever sees the field for Tech. I applaud Tech for helping him recover a life worth living.
I’m sick of hearing all of the crap said towards Tech. I know personally that Tech really takes good care of their athletes in all sports. They have a program that brings in speakers and mentors for the athletes. They even teach them how to interview for jobs and has people come in and give guidance on how to dress. Each athlete before graduation has the opportunity to select a nice suit or dress for future interviews. I don’t think other schools care about their athletes anywhere close to the level Tech does. I’ll get off my soapbox.
Let’s hope Sorsby straightens out his life. Whether he ever plays for Tech doesn’t matter to us.
Just occasionally reading etc. This topic got me interested enough to post again. I love to poke the bear especially when it’s warranted. The holier than attitudes got me posting.
Priceless coming from a Georgia fan.
Dontrell Glover, Bo Walker, James DeLoach, Jonathon Taylor, Smael Morton, Trevor Etienne say hello. Georgia players that actually had criminal charges but were allowed to stay and play for Georgia.
Hypocrisy at its finest.

Nope. ut has made comments over the last few years that make it clear that they think the SEC is lucky to have them. Remarks about academics, etc. Look them up.
Believe me Texas looks down on the rest of you SEC members. They feel that they are too good for you but they lost out on the Big 10 and wanted to go somewhere else because everyone in the Big 12 hated them after being screwed over for years.
