Big Ten and Las Vegas officials are in discussions about hosting the power conference’s championship football game at Allegiant Stadium. -- Las Vegas Review-Journal

USC Trojans' fans will love this as they make their short annual trip to 'Sin City' to bring home more trophy-hardware! (Sorry Ohio State Nuts & Michigan Weasels).

This means Texas fans have less standing when they complain about Atlanta being too far away, even though, they aren’t playing in the conference yet.

They weren't winning it regularly in the Pac. They aren't Utah.

This should help with student athletes placing bets on games...

Honestly, that's a great move.

Lots of fans would go to vegas to see their team play in a championship game more readily than any midwest city or really any other city period.

Honestly, after Atlanta, the place UGA fans would travel best to for a SECCG would be Vegas as well.

So in your hypothetical scenario, Texas fans are demanding to move the game closer to Texas.

And you’re saying the B1G doing exactly that — but for USC — undermines our argument?

It’s happening.

Can’t link verbal conversations with Texas fans. Apologies.

Eta. However, look up one post where a UT fans is talking about “undermines our argument” so you do have that.

But are you also suggesting you’ve not seen one UT fan suggest this?

Nothing screams College Football like a neutral site game 2,000 miles away

It's a terrible move. Asking people to pay out the arse to go to Vegas and then to a playoff game is going to get really old really fast for Big 10 fans.

Wait... do you think more USC fans would be in Vegas than either Ohio State or Michigan fans? Do you realize how easy it is to get to Vegas?

You mean to tell me that people wouldn't rather visit Chicago, Detroit, or Milwaukee in December?

Ohio State, Michigan, Penn State, or Wisconsin would have an 80/20 fan advantage over USC in Vegas. Hell, it would be close to 50/50 in LA. USC fans suck.

Indianapolis is an underrated city but no one wants to go there in December.

Not hypothetical in any way.

You assume Usc but the majority of the big10 is east of Mississippi River. A lengthy ride for OSU /Mich.
