Not bad…LSU’s 3rd string QB in the top 50.

He completed 67% of his passes last year and had 27 total TDs to just 4 INTs. Why shouldn’t he be?

Admittedly, the only Arkansas game I watched start to finish was against TAMU. He looked pretty pedestrian in that performance. 47% completion rating.

Rattler hasn't played a snap in the SEC, and lost his job in a Heisman season to a Freshman. So I don't get the ranking.

Beamer is an excellent tight ends/special teams coordinator.

If you cant see how that helps rattler improve in the SEC, then you are hopeless.

CJ Stroud in 12 games:
317/441, 71.9%, 4,435 yards (370 yds/gm), 10.1 ypa, 44 TD, 6 INT; 186.6 QB Rating

Bryce Young in 15 games:
366/547, 66.9%, 4,872 yards (325 yds/gm), 8.9 ypa, 47 TD, 7 INT; 167.5 QB Rating

Stroud had a substantially higher completion percentage, yards per game and QB rating over Young by the end of the season. Also threw for more TDs per game. So as I said, he had better numbers than Bryce Young. The only reason Young had more total yards and TD passes was 3 more games played. It's not really debatable there, numbers above.

Like I said though, he did have a loaded WR corps by comparison (to pretty much anyone). Their #3/#4 WR went to Alabama to be #1 there.

All true, and if nothing else Stroud will kill it this year even more than last..... He has arguably the best RB and WR in the country in TreVeyon Henderson and Jaxon Smith-Njigba and three 5 star WR's including Marvin Harrison jr ( who is more technically sound than his hall of fame dad was at that age). With an elite OL that offense is unstopable, although they are a little thin. Shouldn't be a problem as Stroud is a big guy (6"3", 225 lbs).

I mean he only threw it 15 times and was in the injury tent for part of the game

I think Rattler is going to come in motivated precisely because he got embarrassed last season. I think fans are underestimating him because he wasn't a likable player at all. And I think he got the humbling he needed to grow as a player. I hope I'm wrong on that but I think Rattler makes USC a pain in everyone's arse next season.

Lots o of oklahom fans did not understand why Riley did not put Rattler back in at all..given that Rattler was more accurate , knew the playbook, and had won the starting job. But after it all came out that Riley’s agent had been in talks with USC since August and both Riley and Caleb went to USC, it sure looked like Riley was intent on giving Caleb experience since Caleb had not played football the prior year. This experience was at the cost of losing 2 games and dropping to 3rd in an off year for the Big 12.....

Rattler was a 5 star #1 QB the year he came out of HS, and there was a reason he was Heisman favorite. Rattlers last season at Oklahoma was more about Riley and his new job at USC.....

History shows that we usually come back against TexASS , with many different QBs, in most years. Getting behind TexASS is not new. The prior year Rattler got behind Texas and sat for the 2 Nd quarter. Rattler then came out to play and won the second half.

Since you can’t replay the games you just have to go with the actual. Caleb lost games that Oklahoma should not have lost....l

May be more due to Riley thinking about USC, but we don’t know that...

Hartman, Hooker, and McCall seem too high to me.

Brice, Bennett, and Nix probably a little too low.

He probably meant on a per game basis.

Young played three more games than Stroud yet only threw 3 or 4 more touchdowns.

Bama finished 13-2 (15 games)
Ohio St. finished 11-2 (13 games)

Wouldn't that be 2 games more?

So in 2 more games, Young threw for 437 more yards, 3 more TDs and 1 more int.

Not touting either side of the argument...just pulling up the stats for you.

True, but I believe Stroud didn't play in one other game and was replaced by McCord.... I believe it was Akron, or maybe Tulsa.

It's a subjective list in the off season to shoot the shite over. It's not that serious bud

Also worth point out that stroud didn't have to play against the best defense CFB has seen in years like bryce did. I'm sure that has something to do with the stats.

Daniels won't even be the starter for LSU and Johnson isn't going to start for the aggies... but hopefully he does.
