Tennessee Baseball. The quality of SEC baseball is insane. The top pitching in this league is better than MLB pitching from 15 years ago. It’s wild to think about

It is amazing how big baseball is in the SEC. Only a handful of schools outside the SEC really even give baseball a second thought. And other than maybe Oregon State... they are all other warm weather places like Arizona and FSU.
College basketball is just way bigger most places. Actually... Arizona was a "baseball" school... until Lute Olson turned them into a basketball school.

I just really enjoy the relaxing pace of college baseball, just a great sport to sit down with a glass of whiskey and watch without feeling like you are going to have a heart attack every couple minutes. You still have moments to cheer or be upset about but not every play feels crucial. But like every sport there is a crunch time, so you still get that adrenaline hit in the 7th inning in beyond
Also, I can only get into sports where i feel I am directly connected to the team. I graduated from LSU so I have an interest in most LSU sports. I live in New Orleans, so i have an interest in the saints and pelicans as well
I can't get into hockey or baseball because I do not have those ties. I know many in this area have ties to the cubs and braves due to TV affiliation as kids, but that never drew me in enough. I really wish I could get into the MLB

college baseball followed by honestly golf at this point. I used to love college basketball and the NBA, but I just can't get into either one anymore. The product just isn't fun to watch the way the game is played now IMO. I've also never really had a team I follow in the NFL, so I can't get emotionally invested either. I used to watch a ton of MLB baseball when I was younger, but once Griffey retired, my interest in keeping up with a 162 game season basically died. I do enjoy the MLB playoffs though.
And I'll be completely honest, with what has happened to college football, I am inclined to say I get a lot more into college baseball now than I do college football. The portal and NIL still exists in college baseball but at a fraction of the level it has taken over college football. It is still somewhat "pure" as far as having "student athletes." Only a handful of schools can pay any real NIL money and it still pales in comparison to basketball and football. Most of the kids playing don't get a dime and aren't even on full scholarship. It also keeps you involved with 4-5 games every week. The way titles are won is fair and not nearly as subjective as football. I also played baseball and it's my favorite sport, so that probably influences me as well.

College football I love. I schedule around Alabama games and I can watch just about any game that is on that involves any SEC team or big teams from other conferences.
College basketball I enjoy. I will watch Alabama games if I am home when they are on but I don't schedule around them. But I can't watch regular season games that don't involve Alabama, unless maybe it's to watch Auburn lose. Even other big SEC matchups don't interest me all that much. Of course I'll watch the tournament but everyone watches that.
The NFL I am lukewarm about. I don't have a team so I have no rooting interest. I'll watch the occasional regular season game and I'll watch the playoffs, but I am not emotionally invested at all, unless it's to pull for a particular ex-Bama player's team.
For a while I enjoyed watching the Premier League but then NBC put the games behind a paywall for a few years and that really torpedoed my interest. I tried to get into the MLS but the massive LBGTQXYZ presence drove me away pretty quickly.
Baseball is fun to watch in person but is ennui-inducing on TV.
Maybe I should try to start watching the NHL.

LSU fans battle with grammar. I think LSU may finally pull out the victory this year. I'm pulling for them.
