It’s curious why they even showed interest in Burrow with Tua, Hurts and Jones. Hmmmm

It was already pretty well understood that Jalen was going to transfer, and Mac was young.

Joe was an experienced pocket passer, which also meant that he would have fit better into the offense built for Tua than Jalen did.

Anyone with half a brain knows by now that the above is patently false. Either you are stupid or ignorant. I'm going with stupid.

Imagine if LSU had Divinity and Todd Harris vs A1abana.

LSU probably leads for 58 minutes rather than just 55 minutes!

Oh you mean vs Barn. The only common opponent both started against. The one where Mac threw 2 td's to Barn players. Yea, that's a fair assumption on your part.

I think you need to work on your quotation game.

Your reply makes no sense to the quote you used.

I don't decide the metrics. The fact he threw 2 pick sixes and still managed a better QBR(88.9 vs 85) than Burrow isn't my concern.

Mac Jones also started against Arkansas and had a 91.9 QBR vs Joe Burrow 88.9

Just how many injuries did Bama suffer on defense?

I am betting that guys are digging up post history right now to quote the bazillion time Bama posters said things like "recruit for depth" "next man up" "injuries are an excuse" blah blah blah.

Your dynasty dudes lost in your house to the team formerly referred to as L8U. Now you get to be A1abana. Own it and shut up.

He wouldn't have started at Bama over a healthy Tua.

I wonder how he would have fared vs the five Top 4 teams Burrow played against? (Not to mention a Top 6 Florida).

You’re just being silly.

Texas wins with a healthy Colt in '09?

Beats me, I was just talking about Joe being a 3rd string QB.

Personally, I think the teams around them were the biggest factors in both players stats.

Honestly, I've never understood why Texas fans think Colt would have allowed your OL to block better, or for your defense to somehow learn to stop the run.

I mean hell, the only reason Colt was hurt in the first place is because your OL couldn't match up, tried to cut block a player, got his face shoved in the ground leaving a wide open shot from the side on a QB who had no where to go because no hole opened up at all, and his pitch was covered.

That said, Alabama has won a few big games in recent history with the back up QB.

And I said many injuries, not one. Alabama had like 4 or 5 freshman playing in the front 7, including both ILB. Lost both starting ILB before the season even started, then lost other backups during the season.

So yeah, it's a team thing.
