in their last 5 games. In their last 5 games against teams projected to make the Tournament, they’re giving up 99 PPG.
I’m no analytics guy, but I’m going to say that’s bad.

Not sure if you have paid attention but most Bama fans have known we can’t stop an ice cream truck since December . Terrible defense , especially in the paint

They want to model themselves after an nba team

You should take the MENSA exam.

And herein lies the problem at Bama. Any team that wins a championship is great defensively....in any sport. It's why UConn is always so consistent. It's also why UT is great this year and San Diego St was last year. you can't 'swap" scores and win championships. Bama scores plenty enough points to win every game they play.

Alabama is an offensive juggernaut, but the defense is not elite
Remember when Alabama lost two first rounders last season, plus their 7-foot rim protector?
And three assistant coaches in the offseason?
This is a rebuilding year.
They have two McDonald's All-Americans coming in next season.
Not everyone can finish the season against Missouri, Mississippi State, and Georgia (twice).
I think we're doing fine.

Why did the big guy transfer?
Bediako?
Did he want to be closer to home or something?

Its pretty bad, no way to sugarcoat it. I think Oats made lemonade out of lemons with this roster. Auburn, Florida, UT and UK all have superior teams but he was able to get 2 wins from those teams.

He went pro I believe. Some bad timing led to Bradley leaving. If Oats really dropped the ball it was offseason roster management

Dey B playing NBA Dee-Fence. Which means they don’t.
Bounced out of the tournament probably second round. Maybe first round.

Despite all accounts seemingly indicating he should stay in school, he entered the NBA draft last season, went undrafted, then eventually signed a two-way contract with the San Antonio Spurs. That's him on the top right:
He was waived after injuring his knee, but apparently (as of yesterday) has been allocated back to their G League affiliate.
Long story short, I think he got some bad advice — he should've stayed to benefit both himself and the team. Losing him and Clowney, plus Nick Pringle not really developing as quickly as expected, set the defense back tremendously.
When all of this was becoming apparent, going into the season we literally joked about having to outscore teams 95–85 this year, but had no idea it would actually be worse than that.

Bama shoots so good from the foul line that they should be able to finish games in NCAAT.
Sears is the sort of guard you want in March Madness, experienced, tough, and a scorer.
Florida has guards like that too.
They are my sleeper pick to 16.
Tennessee is a legit contender.
Kentucky has the talent to make 16.

Bama brought this stat down to 95.3 PPG in the last six. Good job Tide.
