My friend I was there and let me assure you Mississippi State wasn’t winning that game.
He was making those calls because his stuff wasn’t working against a Bama defensive front that had 10 future NFL guys in the two deep and another 4-5 in the secondary.
If you can’t block Jon Allen in middle or Evans off the edge you can’t get aggressive with your scheme.

In talent? 2017 was one of those games where the BAMA team played sluggishly, but Jalen Hurts was actually throwing the ball well. But that last drive, with time running out, when Hurts hit a streaking DeVonta Smith, was a thing of beauty.
There have been a few close calls in Starkvegas going back to 1992, when BAMA needed to stay unbeaten to set up a NC game vs Miami. Y'all took the lead at the end of the 3rd quarter, and we had to muster up some comeback in that one.

The fumble where we picked the ball up and scored that was called back because a ref had mistakenly blew his whistle ruined the momentum. We never recovered from it.

I think Bama will win, but a State upset would please me. Their vet school and hospital saved my dog's life a couple of years back. Great folks. Been cheering for them ever since.

I was sitting in Davis Wade Stadium this past Saturday night (visiting my kid who attends MSU), As loud as that place was this past weekend I can't imagine how loud it will be this upcoming Saturday..
