To have a top 3 NBA pick along with one of the best post players in the country and lose first game of the SEC tourney and then 1st weekend of the big dance..woof. Way too much talent for this to have happened.

It's been a pretty amazing collapse.

When you have a Wendell Green and KD Johnson you just have to let them iso for 65% of the game IMHO

The danger of "lifetime" contract extensions mid season.

Auburn has won 25 or more games in 4 of the last 5 seasons. That includes two regular season SEC titles, an SECT title, a Final Four appearance and 3 NCAAT appearances.

And Auburn will have at least one more guy drafted in the 1st round.

I’m sure they’ll be fine.

I know Bruce loves freedom, but I never understood that strategy. Everybody on their team was bad tonight though.

Auburn went 13-14 last year

Auburn isn’t making it through the 1st weekend of the tournament this year

Ouch

I don’t think my post had anything to do with Bruce’s past success? Auburn had a really solid season. I’m just saying having this much talent and not going deep in the tourney will haunt him. I don’t think he’ll have this great of a front court again.

The *SEC champs took advantage of a ridiculously “down year.”

Yes, and Auburn went to the Final 4 with a much weaker front court.

Crappy guard play. Doom you in the NCAAT every time.

Yep. But even Jabari and Kessler were awful tonight. Just bad basketball pretty much the entire game.

Isn't his record since he signed his new contract...5-4?

I'm surprised honestly had them in the final four. That being said, any other piece of shite fan not still playing in the NCAA should STFU, you suck this year too.

Welcome to Bruce Pearl. 1 or 2 NBA starters on all his teams going back to UWM and nothing to show for it. He's great at promoting, taking his shirt off in the student section at the Iron Bowl, great against a mediocre schedule but buckles when the chips are on the table.

Did you not watch us play any from Feb to March? Just shows that 1 or 2 good players can't win everything.

From the moment Deev's nuts drug across Wendall's face, they haven't been the same. IIRC they gave Bruce his lifetime contract that week, too.

Wrong, and I’ve been saying it for months. Jabari is not a fricking front court player. He’s a tall as shite crappy shooting guard. Pearl tried to use him as a forward and it failed. If Kessler wasn’t dominate, auburn sucked.

Pearls screw up was assuming a 6’10 top 5 pick would be enough to play in the front court. He wasn’t, and he wasn’t close.

Auburn got crushed because we had absolutely no front court tonight. Kessler was in foul trouble and Jabari was out thinking he would dominate a crappy team be taking horrible shots and banking the shite out of them.
