The most important game of the year? Speaks to coaching or lack thereof. Saban gets blasted for losing to Georgia in the NC game. Does Pearl not deserve the same criticism? AU definitely had the EASIEST path to the E8 and maybe even the Final Four. Seems like AU ate the rat poison after garnering the #1 rank.

There will be 67 coaches at the end of the following weekend that will get some criticism. Most is not deserved.

Only someone who doesn't have a clue about the game would think that. Again, check Bruce's background and his coaching philosophy (of course that would be white noise to you), he plays and starts players with a priority on Defense. Again, check the boxscore. Miami had 34 missed shots and only 6 offensive rebounds. They shot 20% from the 3 pt arc. That Defense will win you 90% of the time. But I am just wasting my breath with you.

Or… auburn reverted back to the mean, which is a more likely scenario but not near as fun of a story to tell.
Preseason 5th in SEC… but auburn will be judged based on the potential we saw in mid January… Pearl will have to live with that.
