Little Texas isn't in Auburn. That is Tuskegee.

There is a church and a cemetery in Little Texas

I used to deer hunt beside that cemetery when I was in school. At that time the Davis’s owned that land. Pretty solid hunting in that area. George Mann owned some land around there also. He had the number 1 bow kill when I was in school.

Well what did you expect. Their main mission was and is agriculture and mechanical pursuits. Cows, horses and hogs don't live in condo's. And AU is about as good at what they do as anyone in America. They build and fix stuff. Stuff like skyscrapers, bridges, defense systems and more. And they are cutting edge developing food raising techniques and animal studies.

My two oldest went to Bama and were sorority girls. They loved it and have nice husbands and good jobs and are living the American suburban dream. But the youngest loved animals. Took some sort of animal behavior route. I thought she was crazy but she now travels all over America driving an 18 wheeler picking up and managing troubled dogs and getting them straight for adoption. Employed by a huge national concern. She makes twice what the other three do and has the self confidence she took from her mentors at AU with her to land the opportunity. It's not for everybody. My school turns out sue happy lawyers, strong dog sales people and MD's. Well good but different strokes for different folks.

Ever been to Greene County? About the same distance from Ttown as Little Texas is to Auburn. Both are in the middle of nowhere. Auburn has Atlanta a little over an hour away, Ttown has Bessemer.

Oh my gosh, rural land outside a city in Alabama? That's stunning!

I go to the shooting range in Tuskegee National Forest a good bit. It's pretty close to where you are. I never lose cell service.

Not every current Auburn basketball fan is a recent bandwagoner, and this makes no sense. We've never been able to expect to be pretty good year in and year out before. Sorry it bothers you, but you'll just have to learn to deal with it.

Your answer didn't make sense. I simply asked for any BB loss that gives you any significant consternation other than the other night. You didn't name any because there aren't any which shows the importance of BB.

Auburn is a cow college. Literally.

Auburn.edu used to have an archive of old Auburn photos that one could view on the web. A few of the pictures showed cattle just grazing around the buildings. You can't find those pictures on the web anymore, but it's their history.

I’m staying in little Texas and it’s about 15 minutes from campus. I have AT&T and have no service until nearly on campus. It’s just weird.

You are like 15 miles from campus near a national forest, I hope you don’t get raped by the backwoods bama fans over there...

Plains? I run in Auburn almost every morning. Go run 5+ miles. Any direction. Then come back and tell us about the "plains".

I’m staying here for a wedding tonight, and the campus is just in the middle of a giant cow pasture.

Well go stay in ttown and get shot or robbed by an ex-Saban player going to the store for the night.

Why would an ex-Saban player be "going to the store for the night"?

Auburn is an agricultural school who does agricultural research. It’s the school’s past and present.

I’m liberal by this board’s standards but I’d rather my school churn out engineers and animal science grads rather than lawyers and Gay Telese. UAB has a nice med school though

Bama zealots should never complain about Auburn with their mouths full of food. Auburn University and its graduates do a great job of feeding, healing, clothing and housing people all over the world. UAT is a one-trick pony with football being its raison d'etre.
