I'll agree with this. However, this is also the same for a LOT of states. Now, the government would stop giving MFKRs free money then maybe things would change.

It’s the politicians. I think the average resident there is a good person

Let me flip that around for you. Fayetteville is one of the SAFEST SEC towns and it sure as hell didn’t help our recruiting. As it has grown it has gotten a little less safe and our recruiting has gotten better but I don’t remember any recruit saying that is why they picked us and I kind of think having a coach who isn’t a fricking idiot is the bigger reason for that.

Y’all aren’t winning national titles since 2000 so it’s not the same.

I spent my entire adolescence in Texas. What was true then is true now: no one triggers as easily as Aggies do.

With a crime rate of 46 per one thousand residents, Tuscaloosa has one of the highest crime rates in America compared to all communities of all sizes - from the smallest towns to the very largest cities. One's chance of becoming a victim of either violent or property crime here is one in 22.

90% of that is VERY LIKELY committed by Alabama football players. Scum of society!

Every majority- black city has insane levels of violent crime. If LSU were recruiting 25 white kids it would probably be a huge factor. But since we are recruiting black kids, they tend to focus on the positive aspects of living in a majority black city . I mean I lived in Boulder for a decade and it was a low crime Paradise. But you know what? Even though Boulder is this beautiful oasis , it doesn’t have the appeal that a city with a high black population has to black athletes.

Saban has used this angle for years, apparently it hasn't worked yet.

Many recruits aren’t exactly coming from soft, country club neighborhoods.

Many of these kids come from poor areas, cities, etc. that have crime. They get to go to nice schools and play football.

And yet again I'm baffled that so many of you put so much stock in the town where a school is located.

That generally matters very little to your average recruit or coach.

It has to at some point. Doesn't matter how little BRPD does or how much the local media is in bed with them and the mayor's office. Eventually the gaslighting will be too much to ignore.

Saban and Jimbo already use that in their negative recruiting.
