At which point will the crime in Baton Rouge hurt LSU’s recruiting?

"The Tipping Point," by Malcom Gladwell, defines the tipping point as “the moment of critical mass, the threshold, the boiling point.” Baton Rouge has reached its tipping point.

Consider our crime statistics. According to NeighborhoodScout.com: Baton Rouge’s crime rate index is 2, compared to a score of 100 for the safest city.

Consider our murder statistics. According to the FBI’s 2020 Uniform Crime Report, Baton Rouge is among the U.S. cities with the highest homicide rate. There was a total of 102 murders reported in the city in 2020, which is 46.5 for every 100,000. The national homicide rate is 6.5 murders per 100,000.

Perhaps we all just need to let Baton Rouge go to where it is headed and move to a safer environment. Moving to a city like St. George, where families can feel safe because they will elect a mayor who can lead a real fight against crime, is a viable option.

Baton Rouge has passed the tipping point. That is the real shame.

The people who live there are leaving. At which point do parents of recruits start paying attention?

Have you ever been to Tuscaloosa? And I’m not talking about the stadium either. Tuscaloosa isn’t much better I can assure you. They don’t seem to have an issue with it .

With a crime rate of 46 per one thousand residents, Tuscaloosa has one of the highest crime rates in America compared to all communities of all sizes - from the smallest towns to the very largest cities. One's chance of becoming a victim of either violent or property crime here is one in 22.

OP thinks LSU athletes hangout in North Baton Rouge

Too bad Gumps can’t blame this latest arrest on a LSU-fan-cop like they’re so used to doing.

Pretty much every town in Louisiana is depressing. Louisiana could be a good place if the residents gave a shite

That's what always makes me laugh about these dumb troll posts. Idiots don't realize that North Baton Rouge and South Baton Rouge are like 2 different countries.

“Baton Rouge ain’t that bad - we’re separated” is a hell of an argument.

I bet recruits eat it up.

What is it about the State of Texas that leads Aggy football players to murder innocent people with machetes and their cars while drunk and going double the speed limit?

Sick fricking people.

Bubba your entire state is trash. That’s why you moved to Texas. Don’t even have the balls to stay and help improve your state. Y’all all flee to Texas like cockroaches

There is no improving Louisiana. It’s the bottom of the boot when it comes to America.

I’ve lived in Texas my entire life, minus 4 wonderful years in Louisiana.

Go brush those things you call teeth, you ugly frick.
