Face it, even if they all finished the same, UGA has the national media to put them ahead of the other 3 (sorry Tennessee, this is not the 1990's anymore and the Phat Man has gone).

This is a year the SEC championship could actually matter a great deal.

10-2 in the SEC is a 100% to get in this season. It will depend on the Big 10 probably if a 3 loss team can get in. The Big 12 is likely going to get 2 teams in.

I've heard at least a dozen gumps this week saying that Alabama still controls its own destiny.

Well, they really do. If Bama wins out they’re in the CFP

Did not happen for Vanderbilt last season.

The rest, the two-loss and worse teams, will have to hope 10-2 is good enough. And for a lot of them, it won't be. There will just be too many teams with two losses.

I disagree. A 2 loss SEC will get in because they are in the SEC. Even as weak as UGA's schedule is they will get in on program creditability. All others will have schedule strength resume. Now before someone says something. While I think it is possible I do not expect LSU to run the table and go 10-2. While Both Bama and Texas are flawed so are we and I doubt we can beat both Bama and Texas back to back and then go on the road and beat Tennessee who of the 3 is who I think is our toughest match up.

So teams with less losses have a better chance to get into the playoff than teams with more losses?

Starting to see the cracks in the UGA fans....They realize that when everyone can purchase players like they been doing since 2015, Kirby is just an average to good coach. Will soon need a police escort to visit their stadium like we did in the 90's.Their fans were whining like little girls during the Vols 9 game winning streak.

This would be true if the 1 loss teams didn't still have to play each other.

If LSU wins out, which I doubt, bama will have 3 losses, UTk will have 2 and lost head to head at home, and Texas will have 3.

We’d be in.

I agree, and I think it is ridiculous that you can go 10-2 playing in the SEC and not make the post season playoff. Which is why I don't understand the reluctance of expanding to 24 teams.

Georgia and Ole Miss still have to play as well as Tenner and Kentucky. At least two of you will have two losses.

I think everyone with 2 losses in the SEC will get in.

Are you sure about this? I mean - Georgia thought they controlled their own destiny until Auburn controlled it for them (in Athens) last Saturday.

Ordered by most likely to take a 3rd loss via playing another two loss team:
LSU (3x 2-loss teams remaining on schedule)
Alabama (2x 2-loss teams remaining on schedule)
Auburn (2x 2-loss teams remaining on schedule)
Missouri (2x 2-loss teams remaining on schedule)
Texas (2x 2-loss teams remaining on schedule)
Florida (1x 2-loss team remaining on schedule)

LSU actually has 4 more tough games if you include @Tennessee (1-loss). Don't know why you wouldn't include 1-loss teams in this analysis. If you do that....

There are 11 SEC teams with 2 or fewer losses. Auburn, LSU, and Texas are the teams still having to play 4 of those top 11.

Florida, Bama, and UGA, on the other hand, only have 2 more games against the top 11.
