Pretty sure Auburn isn't #1...that's -64 overall

2021: #16, unranked, -10
2022: unranked, #16, +10

LSU is -74

Outside of a couple of times when we were ranked, very shortly, in the top 10 I can't think of many times when there's been much hype around Arkansas in that time period. Certainly don't think it's enough to be ranked in this list.

Any ranking that doesn't have Texas and Notre Dame inside the top 10, when ranking overrated teams, is obviously a BS list.

LSU finished ranked 13th in 2016. That puts their total behind Auburn in second place.

How is Texas A&M not #1?

I went down this rabbit hole yesterday and asked ChatGBT…

For the recent era (roughly the last 10 years), Texas A&M is the standout. From 2016-2025, A&M was preseason Top 25 7 times but finished Top 25 only 3 times-meaning 4 preseason-ranked seasons ended unranked.

For example, Auburn started No. 6 in 2015 and finished unranked, No. 9 in 2018 and finished unranked, and No. 11 in 2020 and finished unranked. Si Sports Illustrated
So, for the modern SEC, I'd put the biggest preseason-to-final Top-25 disappointments roughly as:
1. Texas A&M
2. Auburn
3. Florida
4. Tennessee
5. LSU

The fact Texas isn’t number one on that list means it’s shite. I hate both Deuce Tigers at 1 and 2, but no way. Texas has been highly ranked and have shite the bed.
