Apparently this scenario is called the field storm fade.
Go against the team that just stormed their field after a huge win.

It’s a sorry matchup. They’re just keeping the hype train rolling after last weekend’s carnage. Tenner blows usce out and Beamer goes back on a very hot seat.

I fully expect Tennessee to win. The win was emotional, but Tennessee dominated, so it probably was not as physically taxing as some other games.
To be honest, I hope USCe wins, but I don't expect it.

I guess that makes sense, but in looking up games after their fans stormed the field, Tennessee's results have been:

1985 - Stormed field after beating #1 Auburn and shutting down Bo Jackson - Next game UT beat Wake Forest 31-29

1985 - Stormed field after beating Vandy (locking down SEC Championship) - Next game UT beat Miami 35-7

1989 - Stormed field after beating #4 Auburn - Next game UT beat Georgia 17-14

1998 - Stormed field after beating #2 Florida - Next game UT beat Houston 42-7

2022 - Stormed the field after beating Bama - Next game UT beat UT Martin 65-24

2024 - Stormed the field after beating Bama - Next game UT beat Kentucky 28-18

I'm sure there are more games out there, but those were the ones I've been able to find.

if Carolina that played at Alabama shows up - TN wins by 4 TD+

if Carolina that played at Florida shows up - USC wins by 4 TD+

that's the Shane Beamer Experience -

2024 - USCe after bye week played Ole Miss who had just played Kentucky and 5 straight games. Ole Miss won 27-3

2023 - USCe after a bye week played Florida who had just played 7 straight games. Florida won 41-39

Those are the last 2 games I've seen where South Carolina came off of a bye week and played an opponent who wasn't coming off of a bye week.

After last week, anything is possible. Bama was Tenn's super bowl so the players might be down a little this week.

Vegas knows...they are not always right of course but remember when they had Florida @ Texas and UF was actually favored. We should not have been favored because Texas looked a ton better and it was at Texas.

Vegas knows sports better than any of us. Never think Vegas is wrong. They want 50-50 bets basically...but if they know one team has fans that will bet a ton on them they have their best people on it. Same as every Yankee game or LA Lakers. Huge fanbases to get money from.

Wut

Florida has the #109th ranked scoring defense in the country. They're absolutely terrible. Tennessee is #10 nationally & #1 in the SEC. Florida gave up 39 to an Auburn team that scored 14 on Tennessee with 7 of those points coming from a Faizon Brandon interception on our 10 yard line.

Jim Knowles is about to feast on Briles and that scheme the same way that he did to Tennessee when we played Ohio St in the playoffs. It was tailor made to stop the different variations of the HUNH that the B12 teams used week in and week out when Knowles was at Oklahoma St.

If you're center's out tomorrow or playing through an injury - good luck. Ask Bama how that worked out for them.

The best thing to happen to Tennessee is everybody picking South Carolina. I think Tennessee wins by two touchdowns
