All pundits are predicting South Carolina win over TN

Just about everyone including Josh Pate is predicting South Carolina to pull a huge upset and win at home.
Well it's not an upset anymore because is SC has been favored all week by -2.5 and no one is expecting TN to win.
Hangover after a huge emotional win, reminiscence of 2022 game, away game...I understand all that. Everyone is expecting a very close hard fought game. However, I'm the only person expecting Tenessee not only to win, but totally dominate SC like Alabama.

It's against my religion to agree with a Tenner, but I don't think SC has what it takes to beat Tenn this week

If this was in Knoxville I'd say Tenn all day by 3 scores, however it's not and USCe is always a tough out at home. I can see a real shot that they keep it close with a chance to win it late.

We have won twice at South Carolina since Fulmer. As a TN fan how can you predict a win with those stats

CBS.com has SC winning in their lock of the week.

It will be an upset if it happens. I am surely not predicting it.

For some reason all these talking heads love Beamer for some reason
Thats why they are picking them

It's not a trap game if the other team is favored.

Well, I don't like that one bit. I prefer to be in the position we were going into the Florida game from the standpoint of how the media sees us.

This and the Texas/Ole Piss lines stink to high hell
Whats Vegas know?
Staying far far away

The players want to win this one for Beamer to assure he is the coach next season.

I think it would be an upset from the standpoint of ranking, coaching, momentum.
I am not sure I agree with the pundits and vegas on this one at all. It just doesnt make sense. Gamecock fans are less than confident as well.

Our own fans don't even think we'll win this game.
What has traditionally been true under Beamer is that his teams play better as the season goes on. I'd feel a lot more comfortable picking an SC victory if they had played, and played well, last week. The bye actually hurts from that perspective.
SC and UTK are honestly pretty similar in their strengths. The major difference between them is that UTK has generated more turnovers, while SC has struggled to do so- which is typically a strength of White's defenses.
Both run the ball well (SC technically is better on the ground, statistically), and both have solid run Ds. I do think UTK is much better on the secondary than SC is, but I also think SC has a sizable advantage at QB.
Wouldn't surprise me if either team won. Both riding high after a big win. Which UTK shows up? Arky version, or Bama version? Which SC shows up? Florida version, or second-half collapse version?

What's curious to me, is that UTK has won in W-B twice since 2006, and one of those was COVID year.
It's also been a streaky series since SC won three in a row from 2010 to 2012, with each team trading triplets until 2022, which has seen one win per side (both home teams).
It's an intriguing series. Prior to 2021, it was the closest series in the SEC by margin of victory. Both teams have a blowout in that span, with having not played since 2023.
Again, I think there's good, sound reasoning for this to be a toss-up in many people's minds.

Tennessee is committed to running the football.
Tennessee is committed to stopping the run.
These concepts travel well.
Unless the Vols go minus 3 in turnovers, I don’t see the Cocks pulling it off.

USCe's only role in the SEC has been to pull a game out of their hats occasionally and spoil a good team's season, then finish out 6-6 or 4-8 (2019). They have done nothing to make the SEC better or more interesting overall and never should have been brought in.
The only positive things they have done is send Lour Holtz and Steve Spurrier into retirement in disgrace.
Vols win bigly.
