That 3-0 record against Tennessee still stings, I see.

Trailing? Notre Dame has 3 and Alabama has 3. Only in your bizarro world is that trailing. In any event, both Notre Dame and Alabama beats your team. In fact, I don't see your team at all.

I didn't realize Cal had 5... bloody heck.

I know the first three Super Bowl MVPs were Starr and Namath. I wonder if anyone has more. It wouldn't surprise if Joe Montana has 3 all by himself.

Montana does indeed have 3.
Michigan would have at least 5 (4 for Brady and 1 for Desmond).

He also played at Alabama right before Bryant came to coach - so he was on some TERRIBLE Bama teams.

So glad that didn't mark him as a bad player. Seen plenty of good ones on bad teams that never get drafted.

That said, Stabler was a damned good QB. I'm not sure why anyone would think otherwise.

Saying Namath was overrated is embarrassing. He is an all time great at the position IMO

You need to look at his stats. They are far from impressive.

What Namath was the best at is marketing himself long before that was even a real thing for athletes.

If you look at the rules in that era of football you will find...

1) No spot foul
2) Very lax pass interference rules.
3) Receivers forced out of bounds could not reestablish themselves in the field of play.

All QBs of that era had tons of interceptions due to the rules.

Weird Flex. Is this from insecurities over your last 6 or so "national championship" qbs being NFL bust?

didn't expect to see Joe Flacco come from Delaware.

He started at Pitt and transferred because he couldn't beat out Tyler Palko. I remember seeing Delaware in the playoffs with Flacco and was impressed with his arm strength.

No, he's not. He had a couple of good years and the Super Bowl win. Trent Dilfer, Brad Johnson. Jeff Hostetler were also Super Bowl winning quarterbacks. He is overrated. He does hold the record for embarrassing himself on national TV.

And Louisiana has produced more Super Bowl QBs than any other state (7), who collectively have started 14 SBs, winning 10.

Joe Willie had coitus with Raquel Welch so he’s still better than any QB on that list imho.

If you break them down by Super Bowl starts:

Tennessee - 4 (all by Manning)
Alabama - 4 (Starr x 2, rest 1 each)
Georgia - 3 (all Tarkington)
Ole Miss - 2 (Eli)
Auburn - 1 (Cam)
Florida - 1 (Grossman)
LSU - 1 (Woodley)

Eh......Stabler in his prime was as good a QB as you would find.....his escapades with Belitnikoff are the stuff legends are made of.....they weren't to bad on the field either. Actually his game against the Vikings in he Super Bowl was very good

Namath is the most overrated player in NFL history

Yes....however any guy who had the guts to wear the big fur coats like Namath, does warrant some sort of recognition

Fred Tarkington, I remember him. Great qb, very clutch.
