And no Gus Malzahn on the staff this season to sprinkle in his voodoo. Say Alabama wins in a 42-3/42-10 type game. Surely Mike Norvell is gone after this game, right? They just fired their AD earlier today. That can't be good.

Norvell is a good coach but he is not a good recruiter. That team has no talent. He will be gone soon.

FWIW, Norvell's buyout is $51M

From what I understand, FSU wanted to get rid of him last year, but they were concerned with having the funds to do it. They had committed a ton of money to the Doak Campbell improvements and they had laid out funding for possible litigation with the ACC to exit the conference without any penalties.

Classic case of jumping the shark with a huge salary increase and contract extension for Norvell after the 2023 season because…wait for it…

They were afraid that Bama would go after him when Saban retired.

yeah $437M last year alone - with that I don't know if they can afford to pay Norvell $51M to go away

He looked so zoned in against SMU — such a serious face — watching his O get stuffed for a two yard loss on a toss sweep on 4th and 1.

The primary advantage Florida State holds over Alabama this week is that they are coming off an open/bye week. This gives the Seminoles extra time to rest, heal, and scheme specifically to stop Alabama's offense, while the Crimson Tide are coming off a physical, hard-fought road game against Kentucky. Additionally, FSU carries a psychological edge, having upset Alabama 31-17 in their previous matchup last season

Losing to this Alabama team by that much definitely would be embarrassing.

If FSU were playing at Kentucky do you think they’d win?

If not 42-10 at BDS isn’t out of the range of possibilities for Bama-FSU when Bama just won 45-13 or whatever in Lexington.

They were competitive with SMU at home, but seemed determined to give it away despite SMU handing them the ball over and over.

Bama is just floating around under the radar… creeping into the top 10. They have a very very good team this year. Bastards.

Miss State - SC should have been the ABC 3:30 game not FSU @ Bama.

Uufff, well no wonder he came back for another year, so they most likely are stuck w/ him for another few years.

These schools have the biggest cash wad clowns making the contract decisions. Lemme guess Jimmy Sexton? Duh Boar is another example!!

If Alabama does not win by at least 20+ Bama should become a Basketball program like us.
