So...like the Alabama-LSU series.

Attend! The other day I read an exclusive essay (I'm subscribed to this particular catalog) by Philip Ilgauskas about dynasties of the ancient world, and whilst I was annotating, I cogitated about the stupidity of the media referring to Alabama's run as a "dynasty". If you want to talk about a dynasty, consider the word in the context of the true meaning. In the article, Ilgauskas took into account the reign of the Zhou Dynasty which, "notwithstanding to the peripety of notion, perpetuated, hitherto, a well-nigh, infallible command of the Yellow River Valley for seven-hundred ninety years," (Ilgauskas 3).
Yes, it is incredible that Alabama has been able to sustain success, but if Alabama were a true dynasty, then we would not have seen national championship games involving Oregon (2), Auburn (2), Ohio State, and Florida State over the past ten years. A true dynasty is an unwavering, hereditary command which lasts many years without interruption from an enemy force. I am aware that the University of Alabama may not be the best place for an education, but still, I would have expected more from people who claim to have graduated from said university than to tarnish the connotation of the word "dynasty". How far have we fallen in America where the complete disrespect of connotary rights is considered appropriate? Quit eulogizing the status of your football team when 'tis not illustrious enough to have earned the right of eulogy!

2008 Florida beats Alabama, wins the title
2009 Alabama title
2010 Auburn beats Alabama wins the title
2011 Alabama title
2012 Alabama title
2013 Auburn beats Alabama, loses the title
2014 Ohio State beats Alabama, wins the title
2015 Alabama title
2016 Clemson beats Alabama, wins the title
2017 Alabama title
Yep. In context no dynasty. Phil Jackson says you need to win 3 in a row for it to be a dynasty. Maybe one day Alabama can be a dynasty

This is a poorly crafted troll thread. This prose isn't even remotely believable as being serious coming from an LSU fan.
Switch your fan affiliation over to Vanderbilt and try again. Also, who goes to the trouble of using a fricking thesaurus while posting on the SEC Rant board? These things gotta just come off the top of your head to be effective, iyam.
You gotta consider your audience. The majority of us are morons. Easier to relate to a fellow moron than say a Vanderbilt alum. Which is why I'm a fan of forcibly removing Vanderbilt from our conference. I don't like to truck with nerds.

Ok so now we're just going to use an incorrect definition written by Phil Jackson? Last time I checked, he's a damn basketball coach, not a scholar.

So by ignoring the fact that a “dynasty” within the context of sports has had a figurative meaning to describe a prolonged run of successful seasons for well over a hundred years, you’re saying that there has never been a dynasty in college football?
Cool. Thanks for sharing your opinion.
Don’t count on this bothering anyone that actually went to school at Alabama. I’d advise keeping an eye out for any Updyke types, though.
Enjoy the rest of the season.

So how many times in a row would this Dudes dynasty beat LSU in a row?

This is one of the worst attempts at a troll I have ever read on this board. I see where you were trying to go with this, and maybe in different hands it could have been a mildly amusing dig, but your whole “Look how smart I am!” approach is, quite frankly, embarrassing. At this point I would say that your only remaining option is to scrap this account, create an alter, and hope nobody figures out that it is you.

I sometimes wonder what it feels like to be a fan of a team that the greatest coach in modern college football history used as a stepping stone to the NFL.
And then, that great coach decided to come back to college & go to not only the same conference but the same division, and some say your team's greatest rival, to coach that team to one of the greatest "sports dynasties" in history. And in the process shutting out his old team twice, once denying them a national championship, and defeating them 8 years in a row.
Fans of said coach's old team, probably go to sleep at night with that thought of how it could have been, if only that coach had stayed with them and not used them as a stepping stone to better jobs.
It's really hard for Bama fans to know how that feels.
