Why would any Aggie not bd thrilled that he has built us up to the point where we’re just a QB away from being a national power??

What does it matter to you? And what control do we as fans have over the coaching situation?

The LSU obsession with Jimbo Fisher is staggering. Y'all concentrate more about Jimbo Fisher than you do your own coaching search. The only time you post about your own coaching search is when Jimbo Fisher is brought up.

To answer the main question, yes most A&M fans are generally happy with where we currently are. That does not mean we are accepting mediocrity, it means we can see the circumstances dealt this season (losing starting QB and hurt/shuffling offensive line), and we can see what Fisher is building for the future (see CGSC's recruiting post on the second page, Fisher is signing some of the best classes in our history).

The 8-5 year "regression" included playing 3 teams ranked #1 at the time and all losses were to top 15 teams, not exactly an easy schedule for a second year coach. But we had no blowouts and played very competitive in several of those as opposed to looking outclassed like many times during the Sumlin era.

Good for LSU that they are "glad they didnt hire him" since he turned you down. In his own words he'd have to be an idiot to go to another school in the same division as the one hes recruiting lights out for right now.

98% of all Ags LOVE Jimbo Fisher. He is doing an excellent job at building this program, pretty much from scratch after Sumlin. This is his 4th year....we aren't the stupid fan base that demands unreasonable expectations and cycles thru coaches.

History dictates that building a Bama or Clemson like program takes time. Next year Jimbo will finally have his own team of hand selected recruits. We also are adding $200M to our already superb football facilities.

Fisher is certainly making a LOT of teams across the nation very, very nervous. We are going to be one of the top ranked teams purely based on recruiting talent each year from here on out.

The biggest question every fan has....how long will it take from him to bring natties?

Do I expect it to happen next year? No, our QB room isn't quite there. But I truly believe we have as good of a chance as Bama by 2023 and beyond.

Program has been skyrocketing every since he was hired and this is 100% undeniable unless you are a jealous, idiot Tiger fan. Seems LSU fans are immensely soured and scared of what is occurring in Aggieland and I don't blame them. Even most logical Horn fans don't deny what Fisher is accomplishing. LSU fan just can't handle that Fisher wouldn't even consider going to BR.

Sorry Tigers....but you simply can't complete with what Aggieland can offer right now! Can you build it back? Certainly but this is gonna take many years.

I personally would prefer LSU to be good again. I like the tough matchups and glory of beating a top ranked team. Problem is, you are one of the worst in SEC currently.

Hard to believe it is only year four and everything has changed so much under Fisher. The level of talent we are bringing in allows us to truly compete with the elite teams in the SEC from a personnel standpoint.

Before, we had to out scheme them. As Josh Pate said, all Fisher needs is the QB. BTW, that kid will be getting to campus in the Spring

Spot on, most teams that play down Jimbo are secretly hoping we fire him and pull a ut austin and start cycling through coaches every 3-4 years where you cant build any stability.

Took Dabo 7 years at Clemson to make his first CFB playoff game, and 8 years to win it all, and now has won 2. Sometimes it takes awhile to build the program your way and get the right recruits and talent to all line up at the same time.

I'm going to have to try hard to misplace apostrophes in my reply, aren't I?

Yes, A&M fan's happy with Jimbo. Why's Tiger's fan's so butt's hurt's? Let's me guess-- is it's because's Jimbo's turned you coon arse's down's so publicly?

There are shirts and 12th Man towels at every home game with his name on them. Hats too now that I think of it. Our fanbase loves Coach Fisher

A lot of your posters here wanted to fire him after he lost to State.

I don't expect you to remember since you went into hiding.

Should have lost to Colorado and got lucky to beat Bama so could easily be 5-5.

You act like a handful of posters on a message board is anywhere close to a true barometer of a fan base.

And just as easily could have been 9-1.

The only game we were never in was Ole Miss. Hats off to the Rebs.

We led Bama in all but about 6 minutes of that game and out played them in almost every metric.
