Kiffin is literally sucking cock to get the LSU job still. According to the rant

Just can't see Lane wanting to play little brother - feel like he will hold out for something like UT, OU or his crown jewel, Alabama (but could you imagine the melt if he left Auburn for Alabama). My dark horse candidate - Mike Gundy.

He’s pushing $10 million right now

7.25 base
$200k bonus if 40k season tickets are sold. Not sure if Ole Miss did that

$150k bonus for each SEC win over 5. So he'll earn $150k for a win over State.

$100k bonus for each win over a P5 OOC team, so he earned $100k for beating Ga Tech

$150k for playing in SECCG and $400k for winning it. Won't get

$50k for Bham Bowl or Indy Bowl. Will be in a better bowl

$100k for playing in Group of 6 Bowl (Taxslayer, Outback, Belk, Music City, Texas, Liberty). Possible

$125k for Citrus Bowl, Most likely IMO

$250k NY6 Bowl. Not likely being 5th in the SEC's pecking order

$500k for CFP or $750k for winning the semi-final. Not going to happen

$1 million for national title. Not going to happen.

So right now, assuming he beats state and plays in the Citrus Bowl, he'll earn his base of $7.25 million + $150k for beating State + $100k for beating Ga tech + $125k for playing in the Citrus Bowl. That would bring his total salary this year to 7.625 million and 7.825 million if Ole Miss sold 40k season tickets this year

You never looked at his contract.

I just can't imagine the money people at Auburn going along with hiring someone who won't give a crap about what they think about anything. Having said that, as an Alabama fan, I don't want to see Kiffin at Auburn.

outside of rolling 4 year deals in perpetuity, what have y'all done in any sport to make 4 year contracts longer than 4 years? Bonus incentives aren't the same thing. Every coaching contract has those

No chance.

No, it's incentivised. He has already eclipsed 8 million on this season.

Lordy, that shows what kind of program Ole Miss is right there. A bonus for going to the Bham Bowl.

The money doesn’t all have to come from the state of MS. Any decent Tax attorney can work around that.

So that's why he was bitching about the crowd in his press conferences earlier this season

How much money he is paid is not what I'm talking about. The length of the contract is what I'm talking about. The vast majority of the money in all coaching salaries at state schools is not paid by the school/state. This isn't something unique to Ole Miss. For instance, Brian Kelly's base salary from the university is only $400k. The rest is paid through media contracts, the Tiger Athletic Foundation, apparel deals, et al. His "supplemental salary" that isn't paid by the university is 8.6 million. And then his max yearly bonus potential is somewhere around 1.5 million

OM is about to have back to back 10 win seasons, with one total W over end of season ranked opponents. That happening in the SEC West is crazy to me.

Also, screw Cohen for not hiring Lane in 2017 instead of Joe Moorhead. The 4 finalists from that widely praised coaching search were Moorhead, Pruitt, Venables, and Chad Morris. Woof.

I wonder how much we could get for a 2003 Western Division Championship trophy…

If only you actually had a trophy. Guess you’ll have to settle for selling a banner instead. Maybe you guys even had shirts made for the championship game you can sell!
