OSU over Texas puts Sark on exit path
Michigan over OU no change
FSU over Bama puts Deboer on exit path
Clemson over LSU makes us all laugh

FSU is not that significant and it remains to be seen if Clemson will rebound.

It matters in terms of the SEC's image.

With the 9 SEC schedule it's not hard to imagine the best teams having 2 conference losses so an OOC loss is significant in terms of the CFP committee.

“Pull for” may be too strong. But Not to worry, bc I think Texas will win this time. OSU has to replace waaaay too many pieces.

Nope. If our fans haven't yet figured out who he is, a standard loss to OSU isn't going to change any minds.
Unfortunately for us. Great for everyone else.

I give him a hard time but he's a good coach. He's just not good enough to win it all.

Especially need to beat Ohio State. The Big 10 has been embarrassing the SEC in recent years in big games.

Sarkisian has been to 2 final fours in the last 3 seasons. I think he could definitely win a national championship.

If the sec just goes 4-0 in these games i genuinely think it shuts up basically every "SEC is overrated" take going into the season.

we're on year what, like 40 now? of retards thinking shite like this matters.

Why on fricking earth does anyone care what the national perception of the 16-team conference in which your team plays is? i care about my team and my team only. Texas beating or losing to ohio state doesn't make one gd difference to me. In fact, I will be cheering for the non-SEC team in every single game you mentioned. Just like most people with a brain would also be doing if UGA were in the same situation.

So, we should all be cheering for Georgia Tech when they play Georgia? Why would we do that?

I assume most would, yeah.

why wouldn't you? Like for you, as a fan of South Carolina, what POSSIBLE benefit do you get personally by seeing us beat tech for the 9th time in a row (would be 10 if not for covid)?

Good question. To give a full answer would take too long but boiling it down to basics, it comes down to SOS. IF Georgia was in a position to go to the CFP with a win over GT, or go home, I’d certainly be pulling for Georgia to win, especially if it helped USC via SOS.

Why would you want non-rival SEC teams to lose as it hurts how the committee looks at the conference and affects strength of schedule etc. Georgia should only want teams like Florida and Auburn to lose out of conference games like that.

Exactly in what world would the SEC Nation kiss your cheek., unless, stabbing you in the back while doing so.
Being a S O O N E R I figure, you must be having a stroke.Because, you know, damn well, good.We hate your arse!

Thank you for inquiring of how we would treat you so frick off.

Dawg, you are correct but SEC fans have been brainwashed to make them feel good when another SEC team wins while their team is sitting at home. I’m a GT guy and was screaming for Indiana to beat Miami because I freaking hate Miami and I don’t care if anyone wants to make fun of the ACC or if it hurts my SOS. You know what hurts my SOS? My team losing not hoping another team wins.

And anyone who posts anything about regular season wins meaning anything are just morons. It’s all about playoff games. UGA, Bama, and Ohio St all won “meaningful” regular season games yet no one cares because they lost when it counted. Miami lost their 2 biggest regular season games and they ran thru the playoffs.

Nope...this is one of those games I'll be rooting for a meteor impact.

Considering it will be the second time we’ve had a healthy qb in the last 5 years for this game, yeah.

If Ohio State were to come in and embarrass Texas that would be a canary in the coal mine, but a close loss doesn't mean much given what we expect both of those teams to be this year.

Oklahoma should be one of the better teams in the SEC this year, they should beat Michigan.

Bama should clobber Florida State.

LSU should clobber Clemson.

The SEC losing any of those 3 could be a canary in the coal mine.
