That's pretty cool. Didn't even realize they were having something like that. We should do something like that over here with Auburn, Georgia, South Carolina, Clemson, Georgia Tech, and UNC.

I like this a lot better than some of the early season tournaments we've played in recently. We've gone out to California a lot and end up playing teams no one gives a shite about, but playing Oklahoma, Texas and Baylor is really cool for us.
I think this is the Hogs 3rd or 4th time in the Shriners Classic.
I like the new Frisco tourney we played in a couple years back. They seem to get West Coast teams involved.

All easy wins for mizzou

Yup. We need more of this in all sports. Midweek games can be for local cupcakes, but preseason OOC weekend series should be loaded with good matchups & tourneys.

Agreed. While conference play and results are typically the main criteria for your final seeding, these early non-conference weekends serve as tremendous litmus tests and can create hosting opportunity from big wins for teams that don't win their conference.
Texas at least got kind of ambitious in the scheduling this season. First time back at Minute Maid in a few years + good Tuesday games (Arizona, A&M, etc.).
Wish the annual Stanford series didn't go away, but at least we got to replace them with Fullerton next weekend

Looks like 3 dubs to me.

Yeah, it's a weird approach to have 4 Big 12 teams and only 2 SEC teams. But variety is the spice of life, I suppose.

Assuming us playing OU first means we get Cade Cavalli which isn't ideal but should be a great test for us and a step up from the pitching we saw out of EIU and Gonzaga.

I'd never heard of this thing, but that's an awesome looking event. Wish there was more of this in college baseball.
Getting all those games in a major city with lots of different fan bases is an awesome way to raise money for a good cause and just generally promote college baseball. Cool stuff.

Group of 6 LSU fans leaving for HOuston tomorrow morning.
WE have already been both times LSU played there. The first time, LSU was 3-0. Last time LSU was 1-2.

Wouldn't this have been better if A&M were there too instead of Mizzou?

Yea, he is going to run it up there around 97-98 mph but I think our lineup hits pitchers like him better than what we saw against Gonzaga.

Aggies are playing in the Frisco Classic this weekend. Have games against Illinois, UCLA, and OK State, so it should be fun.

Yeah I was going to mention that. Although I do like the 6 team inter-conference format.

Not trolling anyone, but it would have been better with Ole Miss or MSU instead of Mizzou.
Mizzou fans don't care that much about college baseball.

Missouri, as expected, starts it off with a loss.
