2010 Bama. Their run game and defense were unstoppable that year.

Our defense in 07 was very suspect at times due to being young. Its how LSU made all those 4th downs to win that game. The offense was about as good as 2008 though.

2010 Alabama only rushed for 183 YPG and didn’t even feature a 1k yard rusher.

The defense was definitely talented, but even they were young and anything but unstoppable.

Again, I have 2010 Alabama beating 2007 Florida.

That's easy enough to do over at WhatIfSports. Neutral field, warm conditions:

I just ran the Monte Carlo simulation 10 times at WhatIfSports. Bama won 7 out of 10 games. All with the same conditions. Only three or four were even close.

Note that you can set home/away teams, weather, style of play, etc and the results can come out dramatically different. It is interesting to run a few scenarios. Your runs may turn out totally different than mine.

2007 Florida was a 10-2 team robbed by 5 phantom 4th down non-conversions called in by the SEC as soon as USC lost

I feel like 2010 Bama underachieved and finally showed their real game when they massacred Sparty in the bowl. Our 07 defense lost way too much from the 06 team.

That 2007 UF defense was their Achilles heel. 2010 Bama wins easily

they'd been bludgeoning them all day with Moreno.

Didn't Moreno get close to 200 yards in that one?

2010 Bama playing at their best beats 07 Florida at their best by at least 21 points.

Florida had no defense in ‘07, none. Would lean Bama.

Not even close? Lol...no. I know you hate Florida but that is just very insane. You think a team with Urban Meyer as HC lead by Tebow gets blown out? Lol..our biggest loss under Tebow was fricking 12.

We had Tim, Percy Harvin, Louis Murphy, The murderer, Caldwell, Dunlap, Haden, Newton, Major Wright, A Black, The Pouncey's, M Hurt, Harvey, etc

We were fricking loaded. And we had a damn good coaching staff like Meyer, Addazio, Mullen, Strong, Billy Gonzales, Doc Holiday.

Def not getting blown out...would be a good game between 2 head coaches who have won Natties at two places, insanely good coaching staffs, and rosters full of Pros and All Americans on both sides.

Would be a very good game. We suck right now, but we were very, very good back then without question.

We had some friends from Florida come to the game with us. North Endzone, next to the student section.

Florida was winning by 10 halfway through the 3rd.

Then it happened: the announcer came over the speakers and informed the stadium that Stanford had upset USC (LSU was ranked #1 in Coaches poll, USC #1 in AP). The eruption of cheers from the crowd was one of the loudest things I've ever heard and the chanting of "LSU" went on uninterrupted for almost 5 minutes, maybe longer.

One of the Florida fans sitting with us looked at his friend and said "We just lost this game."

One of the biggest arse beatings I have ever seen. It could have been so, so, so much worse than 49-7.

My brother and I went to that game. It was a truly epic asswhipping. I've been watching this sport many a year and that's still the only time I remember seeing a team punt on 4th and goal.

I mean, all of that kind of ignores what we know happened on the field. UF was a major head case that year despite the talent. They lost 4 games. Gave up 30+ to troy. Hung on by 6 against a 9 loss orgeron team. Lost to a pedestrian (4 loss) AU. Lost to LSU. One score win over a 5-loss Kentukcy. double digit loss to GA. It was just a very undewhelming, uncerachieving, mediocre team that happened to have a heisman candidate at qB.

Now compare that to 2010 bama. Their issue was that they jsut happened to lose 3 games to 3 really good teams and didn't quite tap into the limitless potential that was bookended in 2009 / 2011. They beat some really good teams in addition to the teams htey were supposed to. Their losses were:

-On the road to a 9 win team that finished 22nd in one of the most complete and biggest games in that program's history. Like one of htose video game "everything went right" kinda deals
-On the road to an 11 win LSU that finished ranked 8th
-At home by 1 to one of the best teams and best players in the SEC in the last 50 years

When looking at both teams from a big picture view, bama was an uber-talented and better coached team (better than UF in both facets) that lost 3 close games to 3 really good teams.
Florida looked like a team that just kinda meandered their way through the schedule losing to teams they shouldn't and hanging on against teams they shoud've whipped.

Lastly, this isn't a "he's a UGA fan so he hates Flordai" thing...just recently I was defnding UF agianst taht bama tard taht calimed 1991 - 1996 was a better period for bama than it was for UF. I'm simply going by what my eyes and the facts tell us. And bama was pretty clearly the better team.
