Sounds like he saw his place on the depth chart and is throwing a tantrum like a little kid. We won’t miss him

Honestly, he never really lived up to his ranking

If anything, I would have been more concerned if he was expected to be starting. This tells me the new guys buried him. So we must be pretty decent there

I think a lot of people, even in our own fam base, are underestimating our receiving corps this year. We’ve recruited pretty well at WR the past few cycles and picked up a good set of experienced transfer WRs. This year’s group isn’t as good as the groups we had under Freeze/Luke by any means, but they’re solid.

Pretty much how I see it as best case. Maybe swapping Kentucky and Arkansas but still 8-4.

If we stay somewhat healthy at LBer, and they develop, we beat Piggie. KJ gonna KJ! 9 & 3

Sticking 9-3 as best case

Most likely 8-4. Hope I’m wrong

Is this the official season thread?

It was hot as hell today. Offense was pretty disappointing today apart from the running backs. Evans is awesome, just hope his attitude/ego stays grounded. Judkins is a studdd. Several of my Montgomery friends said he was the best player in alabama last year for Pike road. Anybody know why Bentley only had 2 Carrie’s? Defense looked a little sus at times but hoping all of that is just first game kinks.

Also I loved seeing Shooter Mcgavin start the are you ready chant. Wonder who does it next week

Yeah I think overall this weeks and probably into next week they will be working out the issues of having so many new players trying to acclimate. QB play isn’t where it needs to be but we knew we had 4 games to get it right before Kentucky.

Our RB room is stacked though. Says a lot about Judkins that he’s getting all the reps over Bentley. Kid ran hard every time he touched the ball.

RBs and Defense looked good.

Dart looked good at times, but certainly struggled some. Seems like the WRs had trouble getting separation too at times.

We have 3 more games for the team to jell and get to full speed before the season really starts for us - I trust Kiffin and Co to get it rolling

Defense looked great. LB didn’t look like a weakness at all. Khari Coleman flies around.

Dart needs to get his timing down with his receivers. Couple of deep balls he missed could have been TD’s and his stats would have looked much better.

Hit one of those and his stats are 200 yards and 2tds in a 35-10 win. Would feel very different

The D seemed very vanilla which is understandable prior to SEC play. We didn’t get much pass rush in the first half and the pass D was nothing fancy and just keep the ball in front of them.

The OL pass protect didn’t really help him much. Plenty of stuff for them to clean up there.

Think dart played way better than people are giving him credit for, all things considered. He was a little wild at first, adrenaline was obviously flowing on the first few deep balls, but he settled in well. The interception was bad, but it was expected. Growing pains. other than that, i thought he settled in pretty well. The pass to Henry that should've been a touchdown was a DIME (reminded me of matts pass to pearson in the TN game) and he made a hell of a throw to Trigg on the sideline. Additionally showed that he has some wheels/power in the run game, nothing special but good enough to keep people honest.

Dart's the guy. Sorry if that offends anyone, but he simply is better. Luke will get to start next weekend against a significantly inferior opponent in Central Arkansas. He will look good, but Dart is the better QB. just gives us way more upside at the end of the day
