Maybe the students will actually stay for the 3rd quarter in one of the October games. I get why kiffin is pissed, top 5 team in the country and our stadium is half empty before halftime.

It is infuriating…a goodly portion of our fanbase is not ready for the big time.

Sigh.. I hate it when people complain about the attendance
The fans have already supported the program buying tickets and donating to NIL and such
The players are getting paid. They don’t give a frick if fans leave bc we’re up by 40 at halftime. It’s a waste of everyone’s time .
Leave them alone . They won’t leave when it’s a close game against a big time opponent .
It’s just so stupid to get mad at people for leaving wanting to beat traffic or go party or whatever when it’s a blowout against a shite team .
They want better more complete attended games, schedule good teams instead of scrubs.
Risk taking a loss against a good team instead of guaranteed wins. Give me as the fan something for a change.

I honestly don't understand the people that buy season tickets for 7 games a year and don't bother to make but 4 of them. I also don't understand being a student, having an awesome team to root for, and leaving early. I guess we were different when I was in school but the student section would be full an hour before the game and would be pretty full until the end.

Majority of people aren't leaving in the 2nd quarter to beat traffic, it's to go sit in the grove and drink. If that's their priority I get it, but those same people need to shut the frick up when our coach leaves for a fan base that cares more about the game than tailgating. It wasn't miserably hot or cold and the stadium sells beer, no excuse. And this isn't baseless, our coach who will have other options is the one talking about it.

This is a shite mentality.
Top 5 team. Most talent ole miss has ever had. And it looks like a Texas high school football game after half time.
The teams we want to compete with pack 100,000 seat stadiums and the stadium is filled for the entire game regardless of who they play.
shite is embarrassing.

It wasn't going to be pretty with those two losses but Atlanta was calling in 2015. Then it happened. I hate Hunter Henry to this day.
Freeze is capable of winning (or losing) any game home or away but will win at least 8 or 9 games this year when it is all said and done. I am glad we don't play him this year. He will have Auburn in the playoff hunt next year and will.be smiling.
A lot of football left but TN looks like a well coached motivated monster. They are my current dark horse to win it all.
My fingers are crossed that everything that is really good about this team can overcome our deficiencies at rb and db (in that order) and play calling from Weiss (possible issue left over from last year but to early to confirm until we play someone with a pulse)
I really really want to whip the tigers in br under the lights. If we can do that then the rest of the drama (i.e., kiffin to Florida/12 team playoff/Heisman trophy) be damned.
Go Rebs!

I just don't understand this mindset at all. Are you there to watch football or just to make sure we get the win? I stay until the 0s hit the clock and I enjoy every minute of it. I only get 7 opportunities to see the Rebs play in Oxford each year and I'm going to soak up every second of the season, especially this one. I took my elderly dad to the game against Furman. We stayed and enjoyed it.
What I REALLY don't get are the people that started to leave before halftime, especially the students.

Let’s boil this thing way down. How many of those students are out of staters and girls? Neither of which truly give a shite about Ole Miss football or football in general.

Yeah, we just told our girls to sit their asses down because we're staying for football. Kids today are lazy. They want to pay for the beer in the stadium. We just had the girls sneak in booze in their bras. We could watch the game and stay lit.

That would be the bulk of our fan base.
We’ve done well bringing in the kids that failed to get into Texas, Georgia, Alabama and Tennessee.
They don’t care about Ole Miss.

I’m there to make sure we win. Once that’s over, I’m out
I don’t care to watch our 4th string play against an FCS third team of beyond scrubs.
That does nothing for me.
Schedule better more competitive games. Plain and simple.
Maybe not this season but in seasons past, I’d rather be 7-5 with an OOC loss to Kansas state or North Carolina or someone FBS than 8-4 against Mississippi valley.
You can’t have it both ways. You can’t expect the fans to support the entire program with NIL and then blast them bc they leave early for a shite game that’s been over with for an hour .
They don’t owe anyone anything to stay around . They’ve paid the ticket and can do what they want.

I agree our OOC is embarrassing. Our season doesn’t even get started until October . A top 5 team playing cupcakes for a month . It is absolutely embarrassing

SOS could bite us come selection time, especially if Oklahoma falls off a cliff (which seems possible after that offensive showing against Houston).

Imagine going through the effort to go to a game, with everything that entails, and then sit there and worry about beating traffic lol...we just ain't ready, and we never will be. Oh well.

Saban used to bitch about this when he was at Alabama. This isn’t just an Ole Miss thing.

LSU is notorious for fans leaving midway through the 3rd quarter

The team that has the toughest stadium to play in has the problem of fans leaving after halftime outside of big games. Literally no team is immune to this

No guys even though we have a top 10 salary coach and top 10 NIL collective…and endure back to back home blowouts of god awful teams and leave early we clearly are not committed and WE DONT LUV OUR REBzzzz

I was there with my buddy, his wide, and his three teenage daughters. Northeast corner near the band.
It's almost impossible to describe how deceivingly hot it was. We were staring straight into the afternoon sun. It was like being in a reflector oven.
At halftime we moved to the shade and it felt like a 30 degree temperature drop. We couldn't have stayed there the whole time.
