Got up every winter morning a little earlier, before going to the Armstrong tire plant, to build a fire in our small home so my mom, brother and me would be warmer while we got ready for school; made a home cooked breakfast every morning for us and after duck hunting for wood ducks in slews at our farm would strip down to his boxers and wade out in waist high water in the bitter cold and dark to gather the downed ducks.. my brother and I at 10 and 12 years old were shocked and agreed then that tradition would end with us
