I don't even really understand what an analyst does....
How many of last year's OL starters are returning?...

They get Bama, we get Georgia. That no longer looks like a push. We have to play in Baton Rouge, where we haven't won since 2008....

re: Would you swap Kelly for Kiffin?

A better question and one I'm generally curious about is whether you guys would prefer Kiffin or Freeze? Freeze would haul in some monster HS classes at LSU, but is it worth it when you'd get one or two totally inexplicable losses every year? And I feel free to post here as the guy above noted th...

Kiffin got Ole Miss its first 10 win regular season in 2021 in his second year and its first 11 win seasons ever in 2023. He won 5 SEC games his first year after taking over a decimated 4-8 team. The only blemish is the rough ending to last season, where we still finished around where we were projec...

I would not give up Kiffin for Kelly. Kelly cannot field a defense....
I thought he was going to be available by the 2 minute warning....

re: Who would have been a good hire?

I was surprised (and relieved) they didn't ask Kiffin. He would have made the most sense. But I'm not dogging DeBoer. He could work out great. Just bigger risk....
But there’s not room for them all.
That's why there's no way I'll be upset to miss the play offs. There's too much luck involved in football to get mad about going 8-4 or 9-3 rather than 10-2, unless you're Georgia or Alabama. I will be disappointed for sure, though, if we don't...

re: How many losses next year for bama?

I wouldn't be surprised to see Bama make a deep run in the playoffs or win a NC in the next couple of years. DeBoer is a great game coach, better than Saban, who is merely a good not great game coach. Saban is the goat because of his recruiting, the ethic and culture he instilled and maintained a...
Do we have anything to worry about as this Alabama coaching search drags out? I figured they would already have their guy when Saban announced, but it seems not....
I was hoping he would hold on for one more season. :banghead:...
lol. no. Lane would take the Bama job if offered. I don't think he would leave for Florida if they were to offer. I think he would have a couple of years ago, but not now. I think he'll stay put until Saban retires....
Kiffin just brought Ole Miss its first 11-win season ever, and he did it without much NFL talent on the roster. So, no, he's not overrated....
I will be disappointed even though I recognize that more than likely we won't make it. That's not because of WAOM; it's just math. Assuming hypothetically that Georgia, OSU, FSU, and Arizona win their conferences, you'll have the following competing for 6 (maybe 7) at large bids: Michigan, Penn Stat...
Mizzou came out of nowhere so I'd give it to Drink....
So there's a good chance you'll have to finish in the top 8 in the final CFP rankings to get an at large bid....
