Can you imagine GT with J Ivey back on the Dline - I was really impressed with Tech's overall game. Oline has serious beef and skill, Running game, receivers, QB is tough and good (sorry TAM), and the Defense looked totally prepared and ready to play; Efford, the LB (#44) was a beast and the secondary was coming up hard and cracking people. Maybe FSU really does suck but a win is always good, especially in week 1. I really like Coach Key's attitude and think he is a very good one. Tech looses to the Rebels by 20 head-to-head and CLK is the best but nice to see a team show up ready to play and take no prisoners in week #1 (or I guess week #0).

Nice analysis, but I just despise Florida State. That’s about it for me. I want everybody they play to whip that arse.

FSU’s practices must resemble Iowas. Their offense is horrid and if DJ U is the best they have, they’ll get bailed out bc the ACC is dogshite and will win 9 games or so but man they suckkkkk

Anybody know anything about who’s not playing Saturday? I heard we will be without a couple of players on the OLine with Warren and Scott both missing Saturdays game. I heard Jayden Williams will be our starting LT for probably the season.

Interesting, so Pettus, Williams and Pounds are all Juniors…..Will they all be here next year?

Seems like everything coming out of camp was that lots of people will play significant snaps and the starting five may not solidify for a few weeks

Anyone know the details on smith? Did he fail a class or was it not a real class? Did we pay him part of his NIL already?wish we had put that money towards more cornerback depth

I think it was this. Did he fail out of Holmes CC? Why would he be taking class at “Mid American Christian” and why did anyone think those credits were valid?

So what happens with him now? Takes classes during the fall and enrolls in the spring? On a similar note, anybody know anything about Marquis Willis? The other Juco wide receiver from this past class that didn’t qualify. Is their still a path for either to eventually make it onto campus.

At this point I'm assuming he tries to get a tryout with an NFL team but most likely UFL or CFL . Schools do everything they can to get players in and if this kid can't pass a JUCO class to gain eligibility after these issues already derailed his career, he is clearly not meant to enroll in college. Mississippi has had these issues before with really talented kids who never lived up to their potential because of grades, this is just another one to add to the list.

Sounds like an upstanding institution of higher learning to me

I hate it for him, but damn, graduating high school is not hard, and is the bare minimum for most Americans.
