I don’t. Dude couldn’t be asked to do the absolute bare minimum.

I hate it for us more. I was really liking the sound of having him out there if for nothing more than a major distraction for the defense away from Harris, Prieskorn and all the others.

The good news is Lee and Williams have one less person in front of them. Excited to see what they do in year 2

We still have the best WR room. I don't think we will have an issue there... at all.

I know he's still just a kid but man. Not qualifying to play in the SEC in the year 2024 ? Even if you have a severe learning disability there are tutors standing by 7 days a week to offer academic assistance and support that can help you complete all your necessary work to qualify. I hope Mr. Smith enjoyed riding around in that car for a couple months and good luck to him in the future. He's probably gonna need it.

How is Princely's recovery coming along ? I've heard Hardie has really impressed so far. I didn't know that he played running back in high school as well. Super quick and athletic.

It isn't that he's not capable. He just made a bad mistake as a freshman. It's very hard to overcome getting 0s in every single class you take for a semester. Everything he has been doing since has been an attempt to overcome him choosing to essentially quit going to school at LSU 1/3 way through his freshman year. He achieved the grades he had to achieve but the NCAA is saying the school he chose to get them through this summer isn't a valid enough school for them to accept. Hopefully he goes back to JUCO, grinds another semester or two and tries again in the spring.

He’s not though. Anyone that is old enough to vote or serve in the military isn’t a kid. There’s doing “stupid shite” and then there’s just being a colossal frick up because you’re lazy.

He should hire a lawyer and challenge the NCAA on this. They would likely back off and clear him. If he got the grades, he got the grades. It's not like LSU is some top academic school either.

Agreed. How in the hell did someone not check this six months ago? The NCAA all of sudden rules the course work is not the problem but the school is the problem? Give me a break something's not right on this one. Personally, I think OM compliance might be walking the risk tightrope on this one and perhaps weighed some future risk and said forget it. By the way, let's all toss out a number right now on the number of major college football players who are technically academic ineligible. We can stop at a nice round number of 100 I guess.

Fake schools don’t count. That’s on him for attending.

We’ll never see him on campus and probably better off for it.

Just chalk it up to another wasted talent in a long line of wasted talent in Mississippi.

Mid-America Christian is accredited, so I'm not sure where you are getting this "fake school" nonsense.

From the same place as the "probably better that he'll never be on campus" part.

Does our football program not have academic and compliance staff? How does someone not get this checked out beforehand and have confirmation from NCAA that the credits clear? Maybe the grades weren’t high enough to clear the hole?

You think it's easy to overcome an entire semester (minimum of 15 hours) that nets you a 0.0 GPA? I guess kudos to you.

The school he attended has been used by athletes before. You think our staff is stupid enough to coordinate enrolling him at a place that he doesn't have a shot?

Lots of blanket judgements on a dude you'll never meet and know absolutely nothing about.

The grades were high enough. The NCAA is basically calling the school he used a diploma mill even though they've approved transcripts from there before. And even though several FBS schools are also diploma mills. Looking at you, Liberty. Shunface is typing out of his arse for whatever reason.

I’ve moved on from this. The young man is learning a hard lesson about when you’re not willing to do the bare minimum it comes back to bite you. We have a crowded WR room and he’s been enough of a distraction. Let’s give reps to and coach up the players that did their due diligence. Mr Smith can spend the year working out for Teams and Agents and hopefully gets picked up by a franchise in the draft.

In other news. I watched 3 quarters of Wake Forest for what seemed like an eternity last night. They are awful. 2 QBs that are serviceable but an undersized Oline, thin at WR and nothing special in the backfield. On defense they look undersized and slow from sideline to sideline. When we added Wake to our schedule in 2006 those SOBs went and won the ACC for the first time in all our lifetimes. Payback is coming in 2 weeks. I think we can score 50 on them if we take care of the football. Seriously. They’re terrible and Jim Grobe sure as shite isnt roaming the sidelines and recruiting for them any more.

Yeah it’s really not that hard with a winter class, full spring and another 15 in the summer.

Don’t make excuses for his inability to not frick up.
